Vintage Garage Antiques at Old Clarkesville Mill — Attraction in Clarkesville

The place was great! Lots of cool things inside, however everything is overpriced. The cashier seemed like he either didn’t care about his job or he just wasn’t very smart. He made the whole experience a 2 star experience. My wife and I were interested in this book for a dollar, but the sticker fell off along the way. He asked us exactly where we got it 3 times back to back after being told “I don’t know exactly because it’s my first time here” and while my wife left to look for it he asked AGAIN where I got it and was pushing for me to go look too. When we did find out where we got it, he walked off to help another customer instead of finishing helping us. So instead of spending any money at all we just left and decided we’ll be buying anything “antique” from literally any other store....

My recent visit to Vintage Garage Antiques was a delight! As soon as I started exploring the different areas i was thrilled to discover a table full of old antique radios. They looked like the wooden radios back from the 1930s. It was neat to see how they were made with solid craftmanship unlike the plastic ones we have today. Definitely one of my favorite places especially with a car museum inside as well! Reasonably priced items, I always find something when I go there . Jenny is the best behind the counter and can always answer your questions . Don’t forget though, Vintage garage antiques is on the side of the building with the VW in the tower, there’s also a bus and plane as well. A lot of people think it’s the antiques building in the front but it’s on the side...
