Waffle House — Restaurant in Clarks Summit

This is an interesting place. Everything about it is hit or miss. Some of the cooks are very consistent and good (kudos Mike). Others serve lumpy grits, charcoal toast (I was told she was the main manager, couldn't believe she dared to serve toast so burnt that the sandwich tasted like garbage. I should have sent it back but I was hungry. Also, she is very mean to her employees. I bet if anyone else served that toast, they would have heard about it).

The service is hit or miss. How many times has our coffee shown up with nothing to stir it, food with nothing to eat it with like a knife it fork? Some servers talk very loudly about things that they shouldn't in front of customers. Some servers ignore us, no drink refills, ever. Others are great. (Kudos to Jen and there's one guy server who was gone for a bit but just came back, he's so attentive).

The floors look like they haven't been cleaned in a long time. The bathrooms aren't well looked after.

Edit: We still go here quite often. Mike no longer works here, nor the attentive server.

However, there are so many other really good employees now. Not as many inattentive people (unless they are new or visiting from the other store). Connor, Hannah, Luke and, of course, Jen, are all there, smiling and helping us out with coffee and decent food. I cannot remember all the names.

It's very cold in the place, now that it's winter. I have seen the floors get cleaned many times since the first review. I guess they just...

Ordered to-go, got the All Star meal which came with a waffle, and an additional two waffles for my fiancée for Mother’s Day. She only got one waffle out of the three she was supposed to get.

Went online, and it says on the website to contact the local store for any issues with a past order. Tried contacting the store, and it just repeats a message on loop to place an order online. No way of getting in touch with a person at the restaurant. I have work today so I’ll have to wait until I get off to head to the restaurant and request my refund, which they may not even give me. Wish me luck.

I will say though, the food we did was receive was quite delicious, and the staff who greeted me and handed me my food were very kind and courteous. I’m just more frustrated that there’s no way to get in contact with anyone at the restaurant than I am about not receiving my food. Will never step foot into this trashy place again my friend and I broke down on interstate 81 we called a tow truck it was going to be a few hours b4 they were sapose to show up so we decided to call a taxi we came to waffle house and had breakfast after we ate we decided to walk around for a little bit we decided to come back to get something to drink whe got our drink and after we got our drinks the manager came to our table and told us if we didn't order something to eat we had to leave we explained to him we had been there already and ate he still told us we had to get out if we didn't order something to eat so my friend told him f this place so we got up and left plus this was the filthyest waffle house I've ever been in will never go to another waffle...
