I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hooked on State Street, and I must say, their fish tacos blew me away! From the moment I stepped in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home.
The menu at Hooked on State Street is impressive, but their fish tacos are the true stars of the show. The fish was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked, flaking apart with each bite. The flavor was outstanding, with a delightful balance of spices that enhanced the natural taste of the fish without overpowering it. The tacos were generously filled and served with a mouthwatering assortment of toppings and sauces that added a burst of tanginess and freshness.
The attention to detail and quality ingredients at Hooked on State Street truly shine through in every aspect of their fish tacos. The tortillas were soft and warm, providing a perfect vessel for the delicious filling. The combination of flavors and textures created a delightful culinary experience that I won't soon forget.
Not only were the fish tacos exceptional, but the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and always had a smile on their faces. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and accommodate any special requests. The overall dining experience was fantastic, thanks to the welcoming ambiance and the staff's genuine care for their customers' satisfaction.
The pricing at Hooked on State Street is reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. The value for money is excellent, and I left feeling completely satisfied and eager to return for more tantalizing tacos.

Read moreIt's a small family restaurant near Brown's gym in Clarks Summit, they don't serve alcohol, but they allow you to bring your own, and they also provide a glass without extra charge, even a chilled glass for beer. Hooked has an open kitchen, so you can see how the chef prepares your food, and you can also ejony all of the art work displayed by Josh, who is not only an artist, but also a chef at hooked.
I still remember the first time we were at the restaurant, I ordered the appetizer, Josh's Ceviche, the first bite I put in my mouth, was WOW, it was amazingly good, the second bite had even more taste, so I could not stop eating, before you know it the plate is empty.
The entree, I ordered, pan seared salmon, had between 5 to 6 jumbo shrimp (I can't remeber) hidden underneath the salmon, it's all on a bed of rice. I was so amazed there was heat, like smoke when I took my first bite, I put the first bite into my mouth, the food is perfect tempurature but not hot enough to burn your mouth, with a fantastic taste. every time I took another bite, I could see steam rising from the dish, It remained the perfect tempurature the entire time I was eating.
I don't know how the chef can keep the heat in the food for 20 min or longer, I would not know because after 20 minutes I was full. I only finished half. Hooked is really generous with their food.
The price is very resonable compare with what they give you at hooked. You won't get disappointed if...
Read moreUnwelcome to Hooked on State, while the vibe may be warm and inviting with fun art and music that is where the fun ends. You will sit on an uncomfortable cold metal chair in a cold dining room. A buser will give you menus and take your drink order but not tell you what is available so enjoy guessing. The menu has many options but if you have diet restrictions like vegetarian or gluten free this is not a great place for you. When you get your drinks they will arrive in red solo cups. Drink they carefully as you will never see a refill. Your food will come hot and does taste good but it all taste exactly the same. They must buy the same seasoning in bulk. I hope you enjoy the company you came with as your server will be engaged with the other staff by the kitchen laughing and having good old time. There is a reason there was only 4 other tables with diners at them. Its terrible service is only made worse by what you pay for it. Do your self a favor and go to SSG or Alter house same prices, better service, and you won’t have to drink out of a red solo and sit in a cold dining room on...
