UPDATE: I have been back to Bubbakoos a couple of times since my weird experience and have been more than satisfied each time. I absolutely LOVE that crispy chicken bacon Sriracha quesadilla!!!!
Well...I had a "weird" experience tonight at Bubbakoo's. We came in just around 7:00pm. There were no other customers in the store. My daughter and I always order the crispy chicken bacon Sriracha quesadilla and share it because IT'S HUGE! So, they were out of bacon and since they close at 8:00, evidently they couldn't make more? No biggie. I saw there was a couple of pieces of bacon sitting back behind the glass with the other pans of food choices. I asked him about those and I guess they were "past their prime", but they looked okay to me so I asked him to go ahead and put those in there. (It tasted okay, too.) When I scanned my QR code for points, in the app at the checkout, it kept messing up. Eventually, I guess it worked, but it said I only paid $7.00 towards the total of the meal. I can't even imagine how that could happen. It doesn't give any choice on how much you pay. I checked my bank account, and sure enough I had only paid $7.00. So, it came back up and showed the balance I owed and it did actually go through correctly the 2nd time. We were never asked if we wanted to dine in or take it out. We had planned to dine in, but they put the food in a to-go box. I told them we were eating in and could we have a plate. (Especially since we were sharing.) I was asked if I could just take another go-box. At this point, I just agreed because I didn't want to go through any other hassle about it. When I took the first bite, I realized there was no Sriracha sauce on it. 😫 I took it back up and showed them that there was no sauce, so they put some in a cup for me. FINAL THOUGHTS... Tonight's experience was very lacking, but I know this can happen from time to time. (There IS a full moon tonight.) I love their food and I won't let one "off-night" experience keep me from...
Read moreWe have gotten take out from this location numerous times. This was a terrible experience.
We ordered via their website for pickup. I finished my errands earlier than I expected, so the first thing I said when I arrived was that I was very early and didn’t expect the order to be ready. I had screenshots including the order number, date, location, what was ordered and the confirmation it was paid for.
The female employee was completely reasonable and stated that she’d be happy to go ahead and make the order, after realizing the computer probably hadn’t sent it yet due to my early arrival. The male employee accused me of trying to get free food, refused to allow her to make the order, and told me to leave my name and number to get a refund. I refused to leave without either a refund of my money (which already was deducted from my bank account) or the food - that is theft. He was incompetent, untrained and frankly unable to have a coherent conversation.
He called the store manager, who told him to make the food, just like the female employee suggested to begin with. I spoke to the store manager, who honestly didn’t seem too capable in customer service either. He did manage to send my order to the store to make, which seems to be an otherwise Herculean task.
I never once got an apology from the male employee who is untrained and rude, or the store manager who should be responsible for training the employees. The store is staffed by a bunch of young 20 year olds who are not equipped to run a fast food restaurant. Accusing people of trying to scam the restaurant when I had proof is ridiculous, and so is the fact that the employees don’t know that the system may be delayed and how to...
Read moreBubbakoo's Burritos is a recently opened establishment on Madison Street in Clarksville Tennessee. If you haven't been to a Bubbakoo's Burritos, think of it as the hipper version of Chipotle.
Bubbakoo's Burritos is very similar to Chipotle. You order a burrito, bowl or similar and then proceed to order various items to fill your food 'vessel'. The food is excellent at Bubbakoo's. While I don't like brown cooked rice and I haven't tried a salsa or lettuce, everything has been fresh and tasty. The spicy items are spicy. The fresh items are fresh. The guacamole are guacamoley.
When you try Bubbakoo's, the comparison to Chipotle will be more evident. Both have similar items. Bubbakoo's has several ingredients like mango haberno chicken, General Tso Chicken, fresh jalapeños and other items that are unavailable at Chipotle. The food and atmosphere is just better at Bubbakoo's.
While I do love Bubbakoo's, there are a few issues. As with all things pandemic, the employees and the service is not the best. The business itself is very clean but the service you receive while ordering your food is very spotty. In line with that, I have watched employees skimp on a requested topping because it was the last of the container only to retrieve a full fresh container moments later. If the service/customer experience were just a little bit better then this would easily be a 5 star rating.
Bubbakoo's Burritos on Madison Street near Jet's Pizza is easily worth a visit. Service is so so but if you like Chipotle or looking for something different then Bubbakoo's Burritos is...
