My husband and I found Cooper's Landing as we were searching for an all inclusive elopement package in Virginia. We had never been there, but given all of the great reviews and beautiful photos we decided to book with them. We booked both the elopement and adventure packages for mid-week in June and booking was so easy that I was almost worried that was TOO easy and something would go wrong! But it turns out that they are just top notch professionals who do their jobs well so that the bride and groom don't have to worry about a thing. We were so happy with our entire stay-- the inn was peaceful and quiet, Nichol was beyond accommodating, and we loved our Courtly Love room! The Food I let them know ahead of time that I am a vegetarian and Nichol made sure that each of our meals included amazing veggie dishes. We got to dine in almost all of the different spots in the inn and each one offered its own delightful atmosphere. My husband and I are still dreaming of the amazing food and will probably make a trip down to Clarksville again just to eat in the tavern!! The Adventure Package Nichol had everything set up for us on the day of our kayaking adventure. The beach had chairs and a hammock ready for us along with all of the equipment. The section of the lake that we got to explore was really neat (lots of little inlets) and we were able to cover a lot of distance in two hours. Then we went swimming just off the beach area. Afterward we enjoyed the wine and cheese board that was included and I saw that, since I had ordered a bottle of sauv blanc for our room the day before, she chose a different sauv blanc as the wine for our adventure package! Such attention to detail. The Elopement Package The day of our marriage ceremony was so relaxing. Nichol took care of everything as my husband and I wrote our vows on the rocking chairs on the front porch. All of the arrangements for the officiant and the gazebo were all ready to go ahead of time and when the time came all we had to do was enjoy the moment! I had my camera set up on a tripod and recorded the whole thing but Nichol also took a few shots and sent them to me later. Then we had a self-timer photo session afterwards! So, so, ideal for two introverted love birds. Then we enjoyed our dinner for two out on the gazebo and danced around like no one was watching, because no one was! :) I hope this abundance of information will lead you to choose Cooper's Landing-- it truly was a magical place to get married.

Cooper's Landing Inn and Traveler's Tavern exceeded all of our expectations and made our micro wedding day an absolutely unforgettable experience. From start to finish, every moment was filled with warmth, charm, and exceptional service. First and foremost, the picturesque setting was a dream come true. The inn's historic architecture and the beautifully landscaped gardens provided the perfect backdrop for our intimate celebration. It felt like we had stepped into a storybook, and the ambiance was simply magical. The staff at Cooper's Landing Inn went above and beyond to ensure that our special day was flawless. From the initial planning stages to the day-of coordination, their professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional. They listened to our vision and made it a reality, and for that, we are immensely grateful. The accommodations at the inn were luxurious and comfortable. Our immediate family were able to stay on-site, which added to the convenience and intimacy of the event. The rooms were beautifully appointed, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Now, let's talk about the food at Traveler's Tavern. Wow! The culinary team truly impressed us with their creativity and culinary expertise. Our wedding dinner was a culinary masterpiece, and our guests are still raving about the deliciousness of the dishes. The personalized menu options allowed us to create a meal that was uniquely us, and the presentation was nothing short of gourmet. The highlight of our evening was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and made every guest feel like they were part of our family. We didn't have to worry about a single thing, allowing us to savor every moment of our celebration. In summary, Cooper's Landing Inn and Traveler's Tavern made our micro-wedding an absolute dream come true. From the enchanting setting to the outstanding service and delicious cuisine, every detail was perfect. We are forever grateful to the entire team for making our day so special and memorable. If you're looking for a wedding venue that combines elegance, charm, and top-notch service, look no further than Cooper's Landing Inn and Traveler's Tavern. Our hearts are full, and we can't wait to return to celebrate our anniversaries in the years to come! Thank you, Cooper's Landing Inn, for creating the wedding of our dreams. With gratitude, Meg & Jake Spearman

Pro: Parts where definitely beautiful! There was a gentleman tending the bar. He was friendly and made amazing drinks!! Con: Although beautiful the cottage's where old and falling apart. MANY safety hazards such as planks of the decks coming up. A few family members tripped. Vents where not in the ground all the way. We had to limit the baby so she would not get hurt. Fixtures such as curtains and toilet paper roll holders broke from literally a touch. The pools lining was coming up and was dirty. In addition the jacuzzi tubs may seem inviting but there is absolutely no hot water to fill them up which was quite disappointing. The only warm water was from the shower head and I attempted to fill the tub up with that but safe to say it took almost over an hour and the water did not stay warm so I just gave up. My sister got married on the 28th and I was beyond disappointed with the food. Just about everything was an edible. The food was dry and flavorless. From what I heard they also made many mistakes with the menu. The wedding planner was no where to be found and the poor photographer had to run the whole show! Thank goodness for her!! The wedding flowers where also a mess. The lady made my bride to be sister pick up the flowers a day early so they where scrabbling to find a safe place to store them. Along with most if not all the flowers for the tables and chairs we had to arrange ourselves the day of!! My sister was told in the beginning they flowers would be ready, delivered and, put out by the florist on the wedding day. And last but not least my sister also wanted a non religious pastor and yet not only did he spend the first two minutes sounding like the Cooper's landing commercial but also was very religious and made us pray at least four to five times within a short ceremony. I truly hope my sister had an amazing day dispite all the bumps and hoops she had to go through. Definitely would never recommend having a wedding here. If the bar is what you are looking for I think they did a great job there.

We recently got married at Coopers Landing on June 10th, 2017. The night before we had my father in law stay at one of the cottages. The cottage was nice except for the rusty chairs out back at the fire pit. The wooden chairs were so bad that only a small child could barely sit in them. They were late to stock the fire pit with wood. They wanted an extra 250 bucks for a rehearsal without food. The coordinator for the wedding was very last minute and did not get things right for us. We were changing things from the normal traditional theme and the coordinator would not let the bride do what she wanted. The pastor was nice and very laid back. He explained things to us during the ceremony. The pastor did forget about our sandy ceremony. The staff that did our music just let it play at random even though we had a list of what we wanted. We were able to eat and the food was okay. After half of our party got food, they did not put anymore out. They stated they would not put anymore out! We had talked about chicken nuggets for the kids and they did not put out any until we asked for it. They only brought out a small amount. We clearly did not get enough food for our wedding. This was so disappointing to us since we were told that we would have food left over! So a lot of the party did not get much food at all. My parents had to stop on the way home since they only got a few things to eat. It was suppose to be great food and we were disappointed in it all. We paid for 75 people and only had around 50 at the wedding. The food was NOT what we expected. The crab dip was awesome but everything else was either cold or did not taste good. We asked for Sam Adams Summer Ale to be at the cash bar. We did NOT get that! Later that night got to our room and had added in our contract that a bucket of Sam Adams Summer Ale be delivered to our room. We went to our room to change and found that we had received Sam Adams Boston Lager. We told the staff and they brought us back the right beer in about an hour. They only brought us four....This was very frustrating since we had talked with the owner about the seasonal beer that is our favorite! The lamps in the bedroom did not work along with an electrical outlet. The cable in our room also did not work. The next morning was a family breakfast since we had a few people from out of town. The sausage was under cooked and it was just okay. The staff did a good job of refilling drinks but the food was not what we expected. We had heard from so many people that it was so good and we were disappointed with it all together. We had to pick from two things of what we wanted for breakfast. I do NOT like that since it is the day after of our wedding and we should be able to pick what we want to eat that day. They explained if it rains that we had a covered porch for an alternate venue. Well they had a baby shower going with loud music and a lot of people. This frustrated us since our music was messed up music and the baby shower music was louder than ours! This was our day and they did not accommodate us like they promised they would!

The venue itself is a beautiful place if you want an outside wedding. The staff was nice but did not accommodate our needs very well. I would not recommend this venue unless you are able to be satisfied with low quality, not enough food, and NO attention to detail!

I was so hopeful for this venue and I was disappointed in a LOT of things! I am just thankful that my bride was so easygoing and happy to marry me! I wanted to be able to come back to the bed & breakfast for an anniversary but I will NOT come back to pay 250 a night for a place that does not fulfill the expectations that...

My husband and I visited Cooper's Landing for the first time when we were deciding where to have our wedding. We wanted a venue with southern, shabby chic charm that could offer an intimate feel to a wedding with 150 guests. We were also interested in a place that would provide wedding coordination services. Coopers Landing was perfect. The Inn itself has just the southern charm and beauty we were looking for. The grounds are beautifully taken care of. The ceremony site was just what we had in mind. It is shabby chic/romantic and intimate, yet had plenty of space for our 150 guests. You really have to see it in person and you will fall in love with it! The reception was wonderful as well. All of my guests kept commenting on how great the service and the food were. *Even if you do not have your wedding here, you must go to the Inn for dinner sometime, the food is fabulous!!!! We are people who love to eat out and enjoy great food, and Cooper's Landing has it. I was told over and over again by guests that it was the best food at a wedding they have ever had. Cooper's landing will make your wedding cake as well. They made ours and it was picture perfect and oh so good. I can't wait for our one year anniversary so we can try it again! (They kindly boxed up the top tier for us to freeze for our one year anniversary) Nichol (inn owner) coordinated our entire wedding and she was on top of everything. From the moment we decided to have our wedding at Cooper's Landing, I was in close contact with Nichol going over details and ideas. The day of the wedding Nichol really went above and beyond. I was able to relax and not think about anything but enjoying the best day of my life. To give an example, the morning of the wedding was threatening rain. I very much wanted everything to be outside so this was worrisome. (We had opted not to reserve a tent) Nichol encouraged me to enjoy the day with my bridesmaids and she would take care of it. She was able to find a tent rental that morning! The tent was so wonderful; it was strung with lights and gave the reception even more of an intimate feel which we LOVED! Nichol really saved the day. I also loved that we did not have to worry about seating for guests during the ceremony, tables/chairs/silverware ect. Nichol takes care of everything. The rooms at Cooper's Landing are so comfortable, relaxing and beautiful. I enjoyed the HUGE Jacuzzi tub the night before the wedding and the morning before, just to make sure I was extra relaxed. :) Since the food is to die for, we opted to have our rehearsal dinner at the Inn the night before the wedding. It was perfect. As there are many different spots inside and outside the inn to enjoy a party, we were able to pick a different spot for the rehearsal dinner (pool side) so that it could be different from the reception site. Once again, the food was raved about and the service was exceptional. We were able to book the entire Inn, so that it was only our wedding guests for the weekend. The Inn had plenty of rooms for our immediate families. Other guests stayed down the street in a hotel, and then several guests stayed in the State Park which is right on the lake in Clarksville. I am still being told months later that it was the best wedding weekend ever experienced by my guests. Many of the guests will be returning to the Inn for weekend getaways. We are already planning our one year anniversary weekend there,...

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to leave a review but I got married here back in may of 2021. Great food and scenery, the wedding was beautiful, most of the decor I made myself. One thing I would recommend is definitely hiring a DJ for here, we had not and had a hard time hearing music during the ceremony and some of the guests mentioned the music could have been turned up during the reception but the speakers here can only go up so high - per Nichol. My ring also had fallen under the wood patio right and Nichol had someone cut into their deck to retrieve it which was really awesome and beyond appreciated. (make sure your rings are secured to your ring pillow lol) There was a couple things that were some cons for me and just want to recommend before the ceremony please do go ahead and do a rehearsal, if you don’t then you definitely need to discuss with your wedding coordinator or Nichol how the procession order is worked out or you will be confused like us, not all of my wedding party was in town the early the day before hence why we didn’t do a rehearsal. My most concerning issues that really bothered me though was while we were setting up the ceremony and reception area prior to the wedding, Nichol brought a group of people onto the venue to show them the site while we were setting up instead of helping with set up and I found it rude and unprofessional. I was also under the impression that with Nichol as my coordinator that she would be announcing our first dance/cake cutting/newlywed exit walk etc which did not happen so guests did not know what was going on and had to go find Nichol during the reception for help with things although she said she had hurt her foot and ended up having Terrell step in to help. Unrelated to Nichols foot injury.. on the back patio where our ceremony was being held, if you walk down onto the brick around the pool there is a tree where the roots have grown up and have made the bricks extremely loose and uneven, causing several people to stumbled and trip including my (at the time 2 year old) nephew and my grandmother. Luckily they were not seriously hurt but it is a liable accident/lawsuit waiting to happen and definitely needs to be fixed if it hasn’t been since we were here last. Terrell (I hope I spelled her name right) the waitress was super helpful throughout the night and stepped up on her game and a was ready to help wherever it was needed. I do recommend this place for the food and scenery but may want to hire additional coordinator or help for setup (I had family helping thankfully) and figure out who is doing announcements and keeping you on schedule, as a bride it is NOT fun managing your own wedding schedule when you’re trying to enjoy your special day. If it were not for the food and beautiful garden scenery I would have...
