my husband and i met up for lunch today. we were not immediately greeted, but were finally seated. the waiter came up to us and said "drinks..." we gave him our order, unsure if he heard us because he wasn't even standing next to our table. he walked away and soon brought out drinks. we ordered our meals and everything was fine. my husband then found a chicken bone in his chimichanga. the waiter just so happened to be walking by when my husband announced to him that there were bones in his chicken. the waiter, again, too busy to attend, said he would give us a discount as he was walking away. it wasn't so much about the chicken bones, it's more that my husband could have choked on it, or this could've been a child's plate and a child could have choked on it. instead of bringing out a manager to assert the problem, he just walked away and offered a discount. we then ordered dessert. the first dessert we ordered, they were out of, so we ordered a different one. a fried ice cream that came in a tortilla bowl covered in sugar. we get out dessert and there is no sugar on the bowl. now, it may seem minor, but when something specifically states there is sugar on something, you expect there to be SUGAR on the bowl. we get the waiter's attention and tell him our problem. he argues with us and tells us it's a different menu item we are confusing it with. we blow it off and get our check. once we go up to pay, we let the woman who is taking our payment know that we found chicken bones and that their dessert description is mis leading. she simply looks at us and says "ok..." we stare back at her and i ask if there's a manager. finally, a manager arrives and we describe our problems. he also argues with us about the sugar, giving the same argument the waiter gave, also getting a dessert menu to prove us wrong. well, guess what!? it specifically says there is sugar on the tortilla bowl. he shrugs it off and tells the cashier to give us $3 back. now, this isn't about sugar or a chicken bone, this is about the way these issues were handled. because of this, getting slapped in the face with $3 and a lack of care to take care of the problems, we will definitely never be back. thank you, poncho villa, for slimming down our choice of mexican restaurants...
Read moreHUGE issue with this place is the refusal to let people who were regular customers make orders and PAY beforehand and come down and park near the front door and call in and have their order be brought out to them. I am not just being lazy, I explained to them I am disabled and they refused to bring the order which would be paid for before ever arriving. They said we do not do that. Saying you can park take your 3 to 5 minutes to get your equipment out and set up then find a handicapped accessory to curb then fight the doors only to pick up an order that is PAID FOR, 10 seconds later turn around go back to the handicapped area off the curb. Then fight in the extra tight parking lot to get back into your vehicle and then spend another 3 to 5,6,up to 10 minutes to disassemble all the handicapped equipment and get all loaded up again in the extra tight parking lot. Because this place said no you CANNOT PARK IN A SPACE NEAR FRONT DOOR OR IN THE DRIVE OUT OF THE WAY FOR THE !% SECONDS IT WOULD TAKE FOT ONE OF OUR STAFF (WHEN THERE IS usually ABOUT 3 TO 6 EMPLOYEES JUST STANDING AROUND THE REGISTER AREA TALKING TO ONE ANOTHER ANYWAYS) THEY COULD NOT BE BOTHERED TO WALK 3 FEET TO THE DOOR AND 10 MORE FEET TO THE VEHICLE AND HAND THE ALREADY PAID FOR MEAL/MEALS TO THE HANDICAPPED DRIVER AD TURN AND WALK BACK IN! A process for them that would take 30 seconds at a max!!! No, they would rather say no we will not do that and discriminate against handicapped people in our community! MAKES ME SICK, I AM SO UPSET WITH THE ATTITUDE I GOT JUST TRYING TO ASK FOR THIS FAVOR. AND WOULD MAYBE EVEN BE WILLING TO TIP A SMALL BIT MORE (but why as almost any restaurant these days will bring food to the customer's vehicle whether they be handicapped or not. Even Domino's Pizza would, Papa Johns, Chilis, Outback, Ocharleys, just about any place will bring food out, not this discriminatory place!!!! JUST SICK...
Read moreI came in to dine on 1/22/2024 at 310p waited at the door for 4 minutes un greeted. No one was around. I then sat myself at the bar and continued to wait another 9 minutes before anyone spoke to me. When the waiter did finally greet me I jokingly asked if we could start happy hour since I sat myself and waiting so long and he tell me “no! happy hour starts at 4” which was about 25 mins away at that point. So I was not happy with his service then after he brought the food I immediately disliked my arroz con pollo it was so dry ! I had to take a bite then immediately a drink of water just to swallow. It was terrible and I told him I was not going to eat it. He then told me there was nothing he could do because there was no manager on duty until 5p. He offered me a box I said no I am not eating it. Later he came back and asked again if I wanted a box I again said no I refuse to eat that. I had to wait and ask for the check . Once I did get it (around 4:22p) it was not until an hour after he brought it to me that he came and cashed it out (5:17p) saying I was supposed to walk to the front and pay . When I saw him cash other tickets out at the station just fine. Over all absolutely terrible experience I would not recommend this restaurant especially to people of color. I ended up leaving after 5 and still no manager was on duty...
