Whataburger — Restaurant in Clarksville

I have now tried this place four times. Various members of my family have tried it with me and all agree with what I'm sharing. Four of us are witnesses to the circus here. I removed my previous negative reviews to try and give them yet one more chance. This well-earned negative review stays.

Yesterday, my sister and I stopped here at 8am. My sister ordered a sausage and bun (no cheese, no egg). I ordered a chicken sandwich with pickle, mayo, and tomato on Texas toast and one order of hashbrowns. We both ordered large coffees with cream and stevia (they said they had it). We got to the window and were told that they were out of sausage. My sister accepted the egg and cheese on a bun (didn't like it and didn't eat all of it). We got our coffees and they were both cold. They didn't give us cream, stevia, stirrers/straws, napkins or my hashbrowns. We asked for our money back on the coffees, and the manager handed me back the cash. When I told her that every time we have been here it's been awful, she responded back something about hot burgers off the grill, blah blah blah. No real interest in hearing the honest criticism. Couldn't give one iota.

We left without coffees and when I checked my chicken sandwich, it had wet lettuce (yes, soaking wet lettuce) and some sauce that was definitely NOT mayo completely dripping off the bread; no pickles, no tomato. I threw it out and gave up on getting my money back as I did not want to drive back though and sit another 20 minutes to get to the window.

This place is an absolute dump and it's shocking because they just opened not all that long ago. I wonder why they have no phone number listed on Google. Maybe they don't care to hear the complaints as I'm sure there are many. I beg Clarksville to please discourage these dumps from opening up here. As it is, another Whataburger is set to open on Madison. I won't be eating there or at any other Whataburger again.

If you want to waste your time sitting a ridiculous amount of time in their driveway to receive gross, cold, overpriced food, knock yourself out. For anyone else who might be opposed to that, stay as far away from here as possible. You and your money are worth...

I’d give one star if I could. We stopped here on our 6 hour drive home to grab a bite to eat since my boyfriend had never been. It’s safe to say we will never be coming to this establishment ever again. I have worked in the food industry and I tend to give the benefit of the doubt when food is taking a while to come out. However after the cashier was insulting to my boyfriend about his order implying that he would get diabetes we waited about 45 minutes for an order that never even got put in the system. The two other people we were with got their food and ate before we ever said anything to the guy who took our order. He couldn’t seem to care when asked where our food was. If I’m honest he seemed under the influence of something. When we asked the manager where our order was no one seemed to know where it was and said it was never put in but it took an additional almost 19 minutes to get this answer because she didn’t care rather. We were not rude and were issued a refund. I am extremely disappointed as I hyped this chain up to my boyfriend and he and I had an absolutely awful experience. There was no sense of urgency of staff in the kitchen and half of the staff were too busy gossiping with coworkers to make sure orders get put in properly. They were handing orders to customers to bring to another customer’s table (no these customers didn’t even know eachother). Thanks for the free drinks it’s the only thing that kept my blood sugar from completely bottoming out instead of the food I needed. Pretzels will have to do as we now have to make up for lost time on our trip to Illinois....

Honestly, I never make reviews or believe reviews. Tonight I tried Whataburger for the first time ever, after reading the reviews I couldn't believe it was that bad. Please listen to me when I say, it's that bad. We arrived at 4:35pm with 15 people in front of us, a bit busy, you expect 20 to 30 minute wait times, I get it. 1 hour... we left the parking lot at 5:24pm. We saw other reviews that said the workers are talking etc. We saw workers trying their hardest, while looking however we noticed many food safety issues including people wearing gloves, pursumingly working with food touching their headsets/hair. When we finally got our food we noticed the fries and burger were Luke warm, it seems like they had been sitting out that entire hour wait time. The buns were hard like they were old and had been sitting outside their bags all day. The burger was actually so cold the cheese never melted on it. Just about the only good news is the coke was alright. I gave 2 stars, it should be 1 but I feel so bad for the workers i gave an extra star because they are doing the best they can do in a crummy situation. It's management and it's training. Whoever is in charge of this place needs to be replaced, whoever is in charge of training needs to be replaced, whoever hired the manager and the training team need to be replaced. listen to the reviews, don't go here, it's not worth it, I'm a dude who never complains, this was the line, it was so bad I had to...
