We have been wanting to try this spot since we moved to Ft Campbell since we love cars and so does our son. We went on Saturday around 3. It wasn’t busy at all even though there was a big event at the arena behind it. The hostess greeted us and was very polite. We looked around for the cars we saw online and there were 2 which were tucked away in a corner and kinda hard to see. The only way you could sit near them was if you were at the bar but considering I was there with my family we chose to sit in a booth. We sat down and our waitress greeted us. We ordered 2 dr peppers, 1 tea, 1 water and my husband got a beer. We also ordered the fried mozzarella for an app. The drinks came super fast and then we ordered our entrees. We got two of the New York strips cooked medium well with our 2 sides each. My son got the kids tenders and my husband got the bacon cheeseburger. While waiting for our order our waitress brought out our appetizer and it was okay. They were nice and crispy and fresh but they had zero flavor so we tried using the marinara sauce. It tasted more like tomato soup. We finished them since we were hungry. Then our food came and it all went down hill. Our New York strips were burnt burnt. The only flavor they had was the burnt stuff left from the grill. There was no seasoning or salt or pepper. It was so bad that I decided to try and add A1 to give it something and sadly it didn’t work. I took three bites and out of those three I swallowed one. My sons was the same way although he managed to get down 5 bites. I haven’t put A1 on a steak in years and years because it ruins the flavor of the meat. If I put it on my New York strip you know it’s bad. Absolutely a let down. My other son’s chicken tenders were served in a cute card board car with fries. They were crispy but once again, zero flavor. The fries, zero flavor. So now we move on to my husbands burger. It was thick and well put together. For it to be a bacon burger it only had two super small pieces of bacon. Once he ate the bites with the bacon the flavor was gone. He also had the onion rings and tater tots. The only flavor there was straight flour and grease. I don’t know if this place is scared to season their food or if they ran out of every seasoning they had at that exact moment but I was super let down. The bill comes and it’s 120.00 for 4 people and one of which got a kids meal and one got a burger. That was insane for food of that degree. I politely asked our waitress to remove my steak because it was awful and she could clearly see I hadn’t eaten it and she took my whole meal off without any hesitation and apologized profusely even though it was not her fault and she was amazing. We ended up still paying right at 100 for food we didn’t even eat or take home. We definitely won’t be trying this place again and sadly we are a little scared to try the other places in Shelby’s trio if this one was that bad.
Pros: restaurant is clean, waitress was amazing, kids meals come in a cool car, dirt potatoes were good and they have patio seating outdoors
Cons: food was flavorless and way over priced, you have to pay for parking, for this place to be called Joes Garage there was zero car decor other than the two cars up front in the corner that you can’t really see and 4 photos...
Read moreReally only giving 2 stars from our first experience. We just went this past Sunday for lunch on Mother’s Day and the service was awful all around. This restaurant wasn’t prepared for a holiday and not to mention the place wasn’t that busy (at least when we were there) we were on a 45 minute wait that was actually an hour and 10 minutes and we wanted a patio table and there was only 2 tables outside that entire time. My wife works in this industry so we were a bit confused- even if they were giving the kitchen a small break you don’t do an hour. There were multiple people who decided to leave as we waited. The only reason we stayed at that point was because we already waited 35 minutes and the host told me we were 2nd on the list but then sat 5 more groups first. Got sat, got over it. Then had the worst server. I would’ve thought it was her first day and first time serving. Took her 10 minutes to greet us, ordered my child’s food first and a mimosa jar. Took forever to get both. Food comes for the child and eggs are cold but he still ate them as he was hungry- we asked her for silverware instead she returns with glasses. Disappears for a while so I had to get up and ask the bartender for silverware. Comes back takes our order, took about an hour to get a wing appetizer and eggs Benedict. While waiting for the food I order a beer. Took about 15 minutes for the beer, I went to the bathroom and saw a warm beer sitting there and it was mine so I asked the bartender if I can grab it myself and she offered to pour a cold one because that was sitting for so long. Manager apologized and gave us a small discount which we didn’t expect and greatly appreciated but this server needs a new training day. & then everyone was getting flowers from their servers and our server didn’t offer my wife any. Just overall not a good Mother’s Day...

Taste of the Food: 4/10 The taste of the food at Joe's Garage left much to be desired. While the presentation was decent, the flavors fell flat and failed to impress. The dishes lacked the depth and excitement that one would expect from a dining experience.
Service: Faith was great 9/10 Faith, our server at Joe's Garage, provided excellent service during our visit. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her professionalism and warm demeanor significantly improved our dining experience.
Price of Food: 4/10 In terms of pricing, Joe's Garage seems to miss the mark. The cost of the dishes did not align with the quality or portion sizes offered. For the price paid, we expected more in terms of taste and overall value.
Overall Experience: 4/10 This was our third visit to Joe's Garage, and unfortunately, it may very well be our last. The lackluster taste of the food, coupled with the relatively high prices, left us feeling underwhelmed. While Faith's excellent service was a bright spot, it wasn't enough to salvage our overall impression of the restaurant.
Final Thoughts: Our experience at Joe's Garage was disappointing, especially considering it was our third visit. Unless there are significant improvements in the food quality and pricing, it's unlikely that we will return in the future.
If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, Joe's Garage may not be the best choice based on our...
