UPDATE: The owner stayed true to his word and gave me two complimentary tickets. My experience was so much better. It wasnât as crowded so the staff wasnât as overwhelmed. Service was fast and on point. Everyone was way more attentive and at ease. The food was good; I ordered the loaded fries - only issue was that on the menu it says it comes with bacon but it actually does not which I was disappointed about. Comedians were way funnier and interactive this time around. Definitely deserves the five stars! I would absolutely be returning.
Previous review: Rating was 2 stars My husband and I attended their open house for his birthday and the experience was terrible/not great. For starters, they advertised having a lot of parking but when we arrived, we had to park in the lot next door. They opened their doors at 5:45; however, by the time of the show, the line was wrapped around the building. We were in the very front of the line but it took them over 20 minutes to get us through the door because of security and their check in process all the while getting rained on. When we finally got in, we were seated with two random people. The ambience was nice overall.
Because this was opening night, my husband and I wanted to show them some grace and understanding. The server took our food and drinks order very quickly after being seated. It took over 45 minutes for our drink order to arrive; my husband ordered the LIT and I ordered Cabernet Sauvignon. After waiting forever and stopping our server twice, the server told me they ran out of Cabernet and decided to bring me a sweet red instead; at this point, I am already frustrated so I just accepted it. The wine was terrible so I sent it back and requested water. The water took another 15 minutes to come; the water tasted like someoneâs mixed alcoholic beverage which means the glass was not properly cleaned.
Nearly two hours into the show, our food still never arrived. We had ordered two 10-piece chicken wings and a basket of loaded fries. We asked our server for an update on our food too many times to count and she just kept saying it was coming soon. We were so fed up by this point, we canceled the order. She told us many people had done the same thing. The comedians were not that funny, we were hungry and the drinks were terrible so we just left.
I gave 2 stars simply because it was opening night and they were probably overwhelmed but had they been more established, this easily wouldâve...
Read moreLet me start off by saying, I was so excited to try this place out I showed up in my work clothes right after a shift. I can not express enough how much I enjoyed my time here. When it comes to food and the drinks, everything was amazing. After the first drink, you would think it was a double LOL! It did take a few extra minutes on the food, however, you could tell it was made fresh and HOT! The staff was welcoming, patient, and even made some jokes at the door. You could tell every member of this team loves their job and loves the company they work for. The owner Gary especially went out of his way to visit Wyatt Johnson Hyundai (my place of work) to hand deliver free tickets to the show tonight. This level of dedication and prospecting is what drives a companyâs growth. It didnât matter who the comedian was, my coworker and I were laughing so hard tears were coming down our faces. At the end of the night, her and I were planning our next girls night out for next weekends event. I highly recommend checking out the Jokerâs Comedy House! Gary, thank you so much for inviting us and we will see you next time! The Wyatt Johnson canât wait to see you...
Read moreI'll start the review by saying this. The comics, ambience, drinks (themselves) were fantastic and what one would expect and exceed expectations when it comes to a local comedy club, especially on their grand opening. The experience kicked off well enough by the staff meeting the opening goal of 6PM and having us seated and orders taken by roughly 6:30PM. That's where the experience began to decline. My friend ordered the jack and coke and old fashioned, after around half an hour she proceeded to bring him 2 old fashioned drinks, then later brought him 2 more old fashioned drinks (albeit made better). I ordered my food with my drink at 6:30pm and didn't see anything until around 8:30pm. And what was brought to me was as far opposite as you could get, bone in wings when I had ordered boneless, siracha wings when I had ordered their kicking bourbon. With that being said, the owner at the end of the show apologized to the patrons and told us he promised to work from tonight and to make the experience overall better. Overall, the experience is well worth it between the pricing, comedians, and crows vibe despite its rough (in service...
