Kelly's Big Burger — Restaurant in Clarksville

The burger was delicious. One of the most delicious burgers I have had in years. But when I got home, I had to sit on the toilet for a good amount of time, my boyfriend too.

I went to this restaurant because a friend had recommended it and I like trying out new places.

The restaurant is obviously a whole in the wall as you see it when you pull into the parking lot. I thought perhaps it would be cleaner on the inside. I was wrong.

You can tell that the menus never get cleaned. They're greasy and grimey, just like the booth we sat in. I felt so crowded and cramped that I moved to the bar, which was even worse because then I could see the gross-looking cooking area.

Speaking of the menu, nothing sounds appetizing when one of the menu items is pig brains. Concerned that my food would be cooked on the same surface as pig brains, I asked the waitress if there was a separate grill for them. There was not, but she assured me that they clean the grill after every shift ands that there had been no pig brains cooked that day. I decided to order anyways.

The service was mediocre at best and I felt at first we had been forgotten about, but apparently the waitress had been outside smoking with a friend while we waited to order. Classy. Then, once we finally received our food, it was as if she was just waiting for us to leave so she could be tipped.

I kid you not, as we were eating, the people in the booth behind us complained about mold in their food. They had ordered mozerella sticks and the marinera in the cup the waitress gave them was covered in a thick layer of white mold. I saw it myself as she brought it back to the kitchen. It was horrible.

I took my lady and daughter to this restaurant because we were in the area and hungry. We heard good reviews about the place and thought it would be nice to try something new. When we get seated, all the waitress and servers had attitudes. We were getting mean stares from the whole staff. They brought us the wrong food first and when we finally did get what we ordered, they never came around to give us refills or check to see if we needed anything. After we finished eatting, I went up to ask if they had to go boxes and I was told "they didnt't have any" by the girl that brought us the wrong order. When I got one from the older lady behind the counter who took our order I said, "thank you", and she looked at me like I was crazy, frowned and didn't say anything back. Mind you, this was right after she was nice to the lady before me. The women at the register made me stand there for 5 minutes with my money in my hand and totally ignored me as she let others pay before me. Trying to lighten the mood, I said this is my first time here and the food was good. The same girl who told me they didn't have to go boxes had the nerve to say, and I quote, "We were sure to put extra floor scrapings in there for you." WTF?! Who talks to their customers like that? I will never go back to that place. They are rude and disgusting towards interracial couples and apparently they put stuff un your food if your not the type of customer they would like to serve....

Seriously the best place I've ever ate at!!! The food is beyond great, the staff are so friendly and inviting (I uploaded a pic of the waitress putting me in a fake choke hold with their sign), it's clean, and has such a comfortable environment. It's not a top notch high end fancy place, so it's perfect for everyone! They had so many regulars that they started making meals for people who just pulled up. Literally saying "so and so" is here, by the time they walked in their drink was ready and food had already been started. We will definitely be coming back any time possible!!!

Ok, so I read some of the other reviews. The service is not terrible, they don't throw their plates at you, the staff doesn't run around cussing, there are no bugs, none of it. I consistently check all this out because I can't stand low end trashy places, and I'm an acute mysophobe. Being this is our first time going, I asked a few people who suggested it. They stated they've never witnessed anything of the sorts to which people are saying here. Many of them have been going for years. One person, commented that they're poor and run an evasion scam. Which would also be incorrect. As someone who seeks these smaller "mom and pop" style restaurants out, I can tell you now it's very common that they only take cash. The nerve of some people these days....
