The difference between one McDonald's to the next is totally unbelievable. I mean that's the only thing I can say to describe my experience with the McDonald's here in Clarksville. The one that I just went through on Sango Road is like a whole different business then the others that I have visited here in Clarksville. This is the only one in Clarksville, that reminds me of every other McDonald's I have been to In My Life. Every single time I come in here the food is outstanding and remarkably better then all the others, even if it is a simple cheeseburger. The only thing that kept it from being perfect, is that they forgot napkins with my order. So petty as it is I called the manager and inform her of this and it was unbelievable how professional she was on the phone with me. I thought customer service like this was extinct. Great job McDonald's thank you very much for the glimmer of hope.

Incredible how much the store has changed. I placed my order in drive through, for two double cheeseburgers no pickle and a large french fry... It took about 15 minutes in drive-thru just to get my order. And when I got my order, I went across the street to get gas and thought to myself, I better check this order since it's in such a small bag. Good thing I did. Or I would have been halfway home before I realized that they had shorted me one of my double cheeseburgers. So I went back across the street to the restaurant and noticed again, The drive-thru line was backed up. So I went inside and explained to the manager what had happened. She said well they didn't charge you for it. At that time she proceeded to ring it up. Well at this point I told her that a different McDonald's had done this before and since it was their fault, and they didn't know how to Ring up just a $1 double cheeseburger since the special they're having at the time is a buy one double cheeseburger get one for a dollar. I told her, the manager gave it to me for free. Her response was, well they didn't know what they were doing. I said..... That could be... Or they could have taken into consideration The fact that it was their mistake and my time having to turn around and come back and deal with this, that maybe they just decided to give it to me for free for the troubles. At that point she said... That'll be 72 cents. Should have been $1.10. Well all I have is a card. So in reality it probably would have been cheaper to just give it to me. I'm not looking for a handout I'm looking for an apology for my time That's all. Which I never got. Well as I was waiting for the double cheeseburger to be made which took a while. I heard a few of the employees arguing about something that had nothing to do with anything business related. So I decided to open up my other double cheeseburger and look at it and see if they made it fresh or not. And when I opened it....... it was very obvious by the indentions in the cheese and lack of ketchup and mustard that they had taken a pre-made double cheeseburger that had been sitting in the heat chute, and opened it up and took the pickles off and packaged it back up and put it in my bag. So when the manager came to me with the second double cheeseburger... I ask her.... Who was the one responsible for putting this order together.. she said one of my employees... I said well whoever was responsible for making the double cheeseburger, took an old pre-made one and just took the pickles off of it. Then I said that isn't cool. She had no response whatsoever for anything. And the last thing I said was this used to be a great place to come and eat what happened to it. And that's how I feel about it right now as I'm sitting outside of my truck trying to figure out how a restaurant can be so dramatically different in two years it's unbelievable the lack of management, the lack of pride, the lack of policy enforcement, and the lack of American culture that has diminished in the...
Read moreHilariously bad service. Unbelievably bad.
I live close to this one, but I don't know why I punish myself by coming here. Easily 3/4 of the time when I come here, they get the order wrong. It defies the law of averages. I could see maybe 1 in 10, or even 2 in 10. But it's almost EVERY TIME.
Super bad experience #1: The last time I ordered, I was waiting for my curbside pickup for a while, maybe 15 minutes. A car pulled up in the next spot, and I thought it was strange that within a minute, the McDonald's employee had already brought them food. 10 seconds later, I see the people in the next car hand the food back to the employee, and then the employee came over to my car to hand me the bag. Mind you, this is in the middle of the July coronavirus spike. I had to tell him that I was not going to accept food that was already given to someone else. After he walked away, I had a suspicion that he was going to give me the same food again, so I went in to make sure there would be no shenanigans. Then I had to wait another 5-10 minutes for my food.
Fast forward 2 months to super bad experience #2. I placed another curbside order. After 10 minutes had already gone by, someone comes to the window with an order that's not ours. 5 minutes later, a lady who is SMOKING, cigarette in hand, knocks on our window, says she's a McDonald's employee (points to a crinkly sticker on her shirt), and asks us what we ordered. Then she walks away, cigarette still in hand. 5 minutes later, I see an employee walking out with my food, but headed towards the car in the next stall. I row down my window because I can tell it's my order, and he changes directions and asks me what I ordered. Yep, it was mine. In the car, I ask for the spoon so I can take a bite of the sundae. Well, I can't because there's only straws. Then I get back, and one or the sandwiches that I ordered isn't there, and what should be spicy nuggets are all regular nuggets.
This is sadly indicative of a typical experience here. I wish I was making this up, but I promise you...
Read moreDo not claim to be open 24 hours if you cannot take orders at 3am because of system backups. 23.5 hours maybe but not 24 hours. If a business cannot take orders for the full 24 hours, it is NOT open 24 hours, period. The claim was that the system would be down for another five or ten minutes and it is now 35 minutes later. If I wanted to leave and go sit in Waffle House, I would have done that in the first place. I attempted to place my order first at 3am, then drove to Madison St. with the same result, returned to exit 11 and got the same "five to ten minutes" at 3:25am, waited in the lot until 3:40am and got the identical message at the drive through. When I asked WHEN they actually opened, he told me again in "five or ten minutes". When I asked for a manager's name or even the regional manager, he "didn't know". Really? You don't know whom you work for? What a laugh... So, in other words, you are being paid for the time just to stand around and not work by someone whom you don't know? What a joke. It's McDonald's, though, so what does one really expect? smh
I've visited several times in the past two weeks while lodged at a nearby motel because this location is nearby but will reconsider in the future. I ordered the fish sandwiches in the photo only to find they were slapped haphazardly in their boxes. If you're going to turn out such a sloppy product, why not just give the customer the sandwich parts to put together? A machine could put together a sandwich better than just making a sloppy mess.
The Clarksville locations have apparently adopted the "get by with the bare minimum" mentality so prevalent in this day and...
