Very disappointed. It started sooo well… we were seated immediately and the server came over quickly to take our full order - the restaurant was surprisingly half empty at 9am on a Saturday. Then it went downhill. It took about 20 minutes to get 2 waters and an iced coffee. 40 minutes after that, the food arrived (almost an hour after we ordered). We should have left but my daughter is 4 days past her due date and she needed pancakes!!šŸ˜‚ We did not see our server again until he brought the check - the guy was just not good at his job and clearly didn’t care about our displeasure. The food was just as disappointing as the service. It had clearly been sitting for a while - the cream on the Strawberries and Cream pancakes was completely absorbed into a soggy pancake. (The pregnant lady was so hungry - we didn’t take a ā€œbeforeā€ picture). The bottom pancake was burnt. The over easy egg in the breakfast bowl had a fully cooked yolk and a lot of the crumbled chorizo was burnt and inedible. We had high hopes but I’m not sure I would go back. We have always enjoyed the food in the cafe so this was a shock. On a positive note - its a cute, bright open setup.

Ever heard the old saying ā€œhave your cake and eat it tooā€? Well, that's the exact experience you can have every time you dine at Miss Lucille’s Cafe! You not only can have a delicious meal but also an amazing shopping experience as well! They have an ever-changing seasonal menu for those of us that like to get a little adventurous and of course their staple items such as the Ricky Ricardo Cuban Panini, or one of our decisions for the day…. The Big Island Bowl! Talk about taste bud heaven!!! We also decided to try the Willies Brisket Sliders, the brisket is smoked at their sister restaurant, Dock 17! The meat was so tender and juicy! We washed it all down with a glass of refreshing strawberry basil lemonade and satisfied our sweet tooth with an Oreo bar! Then we rolled ourselves out to check out all the shopping from vendors right from our hometown! It's so nice to have such an amazing experience in one place!

I’ll be honest, I *want* to give a 5 star review AND a zero star review; here is why: the staff was friendly, coffee was just fine, etc all the things you want. However, I was very surprised to look at their menu to see what is trying to be a unique take on a Cuban coffee (which I would already argue has 3 too many ā€œspecialā€ ingredients and veers too far from any Cuban coffee, but I digress) - that is name the ā€œCASTROā€ knowing I’m in a military town, this surprised me. If you’re looking for a creative way to rename your ā€œuniqueā€ Cuban coffee, call it the Havana, the Malecón, the Caribbean Coffee, I don’t really care, just don’t name a drink after a murdering dictator. It’s not ignorance, it’s idiotic. I ordered my coffee (NOT a ā€œCastroā€), paid, had it handed to me and then gave my two cents to the very kind worker who wasn’t the owner but bashfully agreed it was distasteful.

We’ve been regulars for two years and never had a bad experience until today! The new dining room is too big for the waitress to be efficient, the transition from an order in line restaurant to full service restaurant is a COMPLETE FAIL, and please train your staff on the electronic device they’re using to place orders and collect tabs.

Our order was wrong MULTIPLE times! The waitress had ZERO idea how to work her handheld device.. (not her fault!) … she was working alone in a dining room the size of a super Walmart … she made reference to a ā€œmanagerā€ several times when we were telling her our order was wrong etc… yet the manager never came out once! I felt so badly for this waitress! I literally told her bring a piece of paper to write what we need fixed etc! She finally did.

At the end she handed my husband her handheld to device to pay. It also deserves mentioning that she did the same thing while we were ordering…. stating over and over she wasn’t sure how to enter the order correctly. He tried to pay but the device was showing multiple screens (meanwhile she’s at another table -again the only person working!) he calls her back to say he lost the screen and isn’t sure if the payment went through. She (again) says I’ll go tell my manager … she comes back and asks my husband to help her go through all the orders she’s had that day to find his and verify it’s been paid. You can’t make this shit up! Please note we have told her three times we’re in a hurry! At this point my husband says you can’t be serious? You want me to find my order on this and you can’t? We said we hope it’s right but we have to go! That was that.

Not sure why they changed everything in the first place!? We lived the little cozy restaurant … now it’s a gigantic inefficient disaster! My 11 year old said ā€œdon’t fix it if it ain’t...

I try to be honest in reviews. I am new to the area and read about Miss Lucille's in a Clarksville magazine I picked up on post at Ft. Campbell.

I was too late for breakfast so I decided to go ahead and try lunch. The server was pleasant and attentive. I asked her what was the most popular item on the lunch menu. She stated the Rueben. I do not eat beef so I decided to ask about the chicken salad. She said it was made in house so I went with that. I also asked what was the caprese salad. She described it as a pasta salad. I ordered that as well.

I was very disappointed in both. The "in house made" chicken salad was nothing but chopped up chicken with way too much mayonnaise stirred together. No other seasonings. There was so much mayonnaise the chicken kept sliding off the croissant. No celery, nothing but mayonnaise on a supposedly in house made croissant. (I have my doubts). The pasta salad was nothing but some kind of small round pasta with a little bit of some kind of dressing. If there was mozzarella cheese in it, I did not see nor taste any. I also did not see any couscous.

I was very disappointed. I am tired of paying for mediocre food in restaurants. The meal with tip was over $20. Totally not worth it!

I believe in second chances so I will go back for breakfast and try again. Hopefully the in house...

Can’t rate the food as I ended up canceling my order. However I was highly disappointed in the service I was provided. I went in for one of their bowls that specifically says on the menu they can make vegan. I chose the Chicken Curry bowl and then requested it be made vegan to which I was told avocado would be SWAPPED with the chicken. The guy rings me up and my total comes up to $16 instead of the expected $13/$14. I requested a receipt and sure enough I had been charged extra for the avocado even though I was told the Chicken would be SWAPPED. At no point was I ever informed that there would be an up charge to make my bowl vegan until I questioned the charge. I cancelled the order out of frustration simply because when this was pointed out the owner refused to remove the additional $2 charge; instead giving me a ā€œdiscountā€ of 5% like they were doing me a favor. It’s one thing to charge additional to make an order vegan if it requires significant modification. It’s an entirely different thing to try to get over on your customers by up charging simply because they don’t eat meat. Literally just swap out the dollar value of the chicken with the avocado equivalent and be done-it’s not...
