The owner here is super humble and easy to talk to. On 11 February 2021, when I came with my buddy, she was our server and waitress. After perusing online for an place to come eat at, we decided to come to Revel House Pub and Eatery. Boy, we were not disappointed. Being a Thursday and all, it was a slow night so I didn't see any live music but being quiet inside was pleasant on my ears.

If you like to bring a few friends, drink or play pool, then you know where to come at.

The burgers here are amazing. I ordered the Drunken Mushroom Burger, which came with potato wedges. All of which were top quality and tasty of course. I even ordered an additional patty for $3. I neglect to remember each patty is an 1/2 of pure meat. So the obvious answer: I couldn't finish except for one patty. However, nonetheless, it was an amazing burger.

The prices in this establishment are fair, affordable due to not asking for credit cards. There is an ATM inside. My total with the burger, sweat tea, and additional patty, was a merely $17.12 if I recall correctly.

Okay, you have to understand that this is not your typical 5-star location. There are no white tablecloths, no polished silverware, no high-falutin waitstaff with perfectly intoned delivery of the evening's specials. And that's freaking awesome. Because Revel House is the kind of pub you WANT to find when you're near a university (it's close to Austin Peay), you want to hear some live music, and you want some delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. How relaxed? Well, Dawn asked my name and used it the rest of the night like we were related. In fact, I've had evenings with relatives (ones I liked, BTW) that were less comfortable than my night in Revel. Not only did I get to chime in on a few fun debates during the course of the night, but I was also invited to try a slice of one regular's thoughtful gift of a savory and a sweet bread, made a part of a conversation about a gifted belt, and shared dog photos with the cook, who has an adorable pup who is currently a little under the weather. I was fully embraced by the family, and it was such a wonderful evening that I was compelled to share it with my son via texts as I was experiencing it. Oh! I forgot to mention the drinks: poured generously. The food: prepared flavorfully. The music: played harmoniously. BRING CASH. This is not a plastic place, in any way. It's real, through and through. I have only visited this place twice. The first was just for beer and the second was to try their food and for beer. The first time we went, the bartender seemed to be more interested in visiting with her friends who were there than her actual customers. I was also super disappointed that she didn't know about beer. I had asked a question about one they had on tap and she didn't know anything about it, but let me try it. I did end up ordering it. The 2nd time, the service was a little better. The bartender actually visited with us and another guy working talked to us. She still didn't know about the beer they had on tap though. My friend and I both ordered burgers which were very good especially the crispy bacon and we both had the potato wedges. The wedges tasted like they had been setting out all day, so we probably won't order those again. I am glad we have a place downtown that does have good craft beer on tap. I love it when places have a good selection. I do think that your bartenders or whoever is working should know about the selection though and be able to tell you when you ask what you have. The beer list is high on the wall written on chalkboards. It would be better if you had printed copies of it that you could give your customers because not everyone looks up for it.
