The best way to describe this place is “my comfort spot”. The Amsterdam Local is the perfect breath of fresh air in the midst of this chaotic city. Not a day goes by that I don’t recommend this place to somebody.

Whether I’m in the mood for Coffee, tea, a snack, meal, or dessert I know will be satisfied with my choice. Everything is taken into account, all the way down to the presentation. It doesn’t just taste amazing but looks amazing. Every order is beautifully crafted (I recommend the Blondies
literally taste like they were hand crafted in heaven)

The service is one of a kind to say the least. Such an amazing staff of individuals! I honestly could not spend time at a cafe if I didn’t feel comfortable or welcomed by the workers. The Amsterdam Local makes me feel at home. Getting to know the staff since opening has been so amazing! Naomi the owner is so caring and attentive to the cafe! She is always looking for more and more ways she can further improve the experience of the place, and has so much love for every costumer who walks through those doors! The baristas are amazing, big shoutout to Faith, the most intentional barista I’ve ever met. If you leave the cafe and don’t feel like you just made a new friend then you definitely didn’t talk to Faith! All in all the staff is amazing, I could go on and on about them but I won’t!

The atmosphere is like nowhere else in Clarksville. From the lovely blend of furniture, to a fun corner for the kids, to the inclusive options of local goods they offer! Whether you’re looking for a place to meet with friends, study for school, or just escape the world for a moment and relax, this is it.

I can’t say it enough, I love this place and so happy to see it continue to flourish! If you haven’t checked it out you’re definitely missing out on Clarksville newest and...

Bad Experience 😡😡 My husband and I went to eat breakfast there this morning, and had a terrible experience. First the cashier instead of taking my order she was talking with a lady that was in front of me. When finally she took my order she didn’t took my whole order. And took forever to get to our table. I order two Euro plates she only gave me one 😑 they gave us the food before the drinks, so I had to share plates with my husband. Then coffee came , when we were almost ready to leave. A big surprise, a towing company had took our truck 😡 with no notice. Yes they do have signs, but very small, the only thing I read as getting there is the Ameterdam Parking Permit. I asume that it was especially for customer only. Didn’t think that it was only for the residents next door. But what it makes me think, this restaurant has a huge parking spaces, am pretty sure it doesn’t get full, second, why they don’t have the courtesy of welcoming customers and warn them😡 why do they took forever for our food, it seems like they were buying time to let the tow truck do their business, and probably they get a percentage of there sales. When I call the towing company, they were very specific THAT ONLY CASH was accepted😑 for me is ridiculous, where hardly anyone carries cash. We had to pay $150, on top of 60 dollars for breakfast. What a terrible way of making money 😡I hope the residents from the apartment complex sees this and do something about it. Otherwise sadly this will continue, the towing company, the restaurant, and the apartment complex going to be ripping people off, and will continue making a profit with this business that they have going on. Terrible

Amsterdam Local isn’t just a cafĂ© it’s a full sensory escape to the Netherlands right in the heart of Clarksville! From the moment you step inside, the warm, rustic Dutch decor with its wooden accents and canal-inspired touches makes you feel like you’ve been whisked away to a cozy Amsterdam brown cafĂ©, and the incredibly welcoming staff greets you with genuine smiles and attentive service that makes every visit feel special. Their coffee is rich and expertly crafted, their savory bites are fresh and flavorful, but the real stars are their decadent Dutch desserts think stroopwafels with that perfect caramel chew, buttery speculoos treats, and indulgent chocolate delights that melt in your mouth each one so authentic you’ll swear they were flown in straight from Amsterdam. The ambiance strikes the ideal balance between lively and relaxed, with soft chatter, the comforting aroma of freshly baked goods, and just the right amount of European charm to make you want to linger for hours. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Clarksville, this place is an absolute must visit it’s rare to find a cafĂ© that nails every detail so perfectly, from atmosphere to service to unforgettable flavors, but Amsterdam Local does it all with effortless grace, leaving you already planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your last bite. An unforgettable 10/10...
