Yesterday as my parents and I were going through this drive thru, my mother was getting cut off by the barista taking her order. She also called him “Sir” as a sign of politeness. When we got to the window my mother brought up the fact that she was being cut off and couldn’t even order all that she wanted because of being cut off. She wanted to know if the barista got her complete order. Mind you, again she called him “Sir” to be polite, however come to find out “her” name was “Buffy” apparently but she didn’t see the name tag until the end of the ordering and paying process. Some other person named “Rhyn” had heard this and came over to the window of drive thru to yell: “SHE” will complete your order referring to Buffy and how Buffy’s pronouns are “she/her”. She proceeded to yell at my mom embarrassing her in front of my father and me as well as other customers in view and earshot inside the store. “Rhyn” had also slammed the window in my mother’s face and made our drinks halfway and my sandwich was presented to me flattened and cold. It was like this was our punishment for not knowing pronouns prior to coming to this location. My mother is an honorable person and would never do anything to offend someone….the customer service here was inexcusable, grotesque and unacceptable. Being a Marine, calling someone “Sir” is a sign of respect and how was she to know this person’s pronouns through a speaker box then at the window if they look like the sex they were born as? Are we supposed to ask at every single Starbucks drive thru before ordering what that person’s pronouns are before we order so we have our order given to us properly and fresh? That is absolutely ridiculous. I usually do not write reviews but after this horrible experience I couldn’t not say something. If you go here and see “Rhyn” & “Buffy” be prepared to ask their pronouns that day prior to ordering that they are requesting of you or you will get yelled at, halfway made drinks, a window slammed in your face in drive thru, spilled drink….just to name a few things that this person decided to do towards my family. I wouldn’t ever return to this store location even if I was paid to and furthermore I heard “Rhyn” was promoted recently. Seems to me she needs a lesson in customer service, how to be polite and demoted until they learn some respect. The fact they are still allowed to work here makes me lose my faith once again in humanity and Starbucks and finally their ideals regarding their business service practice...
Read moreWas in there 9/1. Let me start off with saying, I loved this store. Have always took my business here, but that will stop and I will go down the street to Lasaters. Anyways, I went in, with my mask on. Covered completely. I ordered my drink and proceeded to move down and wait for my drink. When the barista with the purple hair was making it, it also looked like he was training. I kindly pulled my mask out, not off, and asked for sweet in low. Before I even got my sentence out he yelled at me and told me to replace my mask. I had not even taken it off, he was behind the counter, with a plastic barrier and no other consumer was in the building. I told him to forget the sweet in low. He handed me my drink and told him they lost a customer at this location. I then I started to make my way out of the building, where he again yelled across the store to put my mask back on.
I get that people are scared. I get that there is a mandate, however, I work in healthcare. I had my scrubs on. I know how to properly wear a mask. I personally believe he saw my attire and got “scared.” I don’t necessarily agree with him as a professional having purple hair, but I didn’t say anything. He should have not been so completely rude about the mask. He was protected again, by standing on the other side of the counter, wearing a mask, and having a plastic barrier. The boy needs a reality check and to know he’s not the boss. I was completely taken aback because I have not have had this kind of service...
Read moreOn a Sunday, plan to wait. I order a drink in the lobby. I noticed the 2 girls in front of me were waiting awhile, and it looked as if they got skipped. Drinks kept coming out. They received their first drink. I asked them, how long was their wait? She said about 20-25 minutes, and I noticed more drinks were coming out, and they never received their second drink. I asked the barista, is there a mixup and are we getting skipped. I say, next time I’ll take the drive through, because it was definitely moving since I got there! She replies, “no, it would be backed up because we are the only 2 baristas. I’m doing this bar, and she’s doing that bar. I’m doing hot drinks and she’s doing cold.” I’ve been to many Starbucks, and I’ve never seen them work this way. If there’s 2 baristas, logically it would only make sense if both worked the orders, in the exact order they came in. That’s fair game. Every single person that came in after me, GOT THEIR DRINK BEFORE ME! The ft Campbell location is the best one. They don’t skip people’s drinks, respectfully. I hope they were training the other girl, and that she was new, because no way would I ever wait 30-35 in the lobby for a Starbucks again. I should have asked for my money back nicely, and...
