I am utterly obsessed with breakfast, so I've been quite excited to try Biscuitville since their location on 70 business is in a really bad spot traffic wise, especially during the early morning commute when traffic can be bumper to bumper.
I was completely let down. My husband and I spent $28 total. We each got a breakfast combo, with a hashbrown and drink, and one apple blossom to share. He got a lemonade that he liked, I asked for a sweet tea. They gave me an unsweetened ice tea. We're from New York so I'm completely used to the idea and for years that's been what I'm used to getting when asking for an iced tea at diners. I'm sure it was a mistake on the workers part, but I thought it was really odd that when sweet tea is the standard tea in these parts. I would have expect the opposite, ask for unsweetened ice tea and get a sweet tea. But whatever. It was drinkable, but we did pay a lot of money for breakfast and not get what we asked for.
My husband got a chicken biscuit that he really enjoyed. It was a nice size piece of chicken. I got the ultimate bacon biscuit. We both agreed the biscuits were the best thing we ate there. And the bacon was cooked very well. I love crispy bacon and most fast food places barely cook the bacon. So that was nice.
However everything else lacked any kind of flavor or seasoning. The fried egg was flavorless. The hashbrowns flavorless. I had to add mine to the bacon biscuit because it was too plain to eat on its own.
The apple blossom cost $4.99 and had the smallest diced apples I've ever seen. There was a thick crust surrounding the edges which really limited the amount of apples included, which was already barely anything due to their small size. If it was $2 or $3, it would have been passable. But for $5?? It was such a ripoff.
Biscuitville was extremely overpriced for what you got. Nearly $30 and we only fed 2 people! And everything was bland. There's other options for fast food breakfast in the area, including Dunkin right next door and McDonald's a couple minutes down the road. We will not be returning again for another visit. The biscuits were good but nothing else is worth a return visit. Especially...
Read moreWhat an outstanding restaurant. I've been in this area for a year now, and I never knew it was there. The closest one to my location! ALL the associates were friendly and acknowledged me. The food was just as I expected.... delicious! I had scrambled eggs, bacon, a biscuit, a hash brown and a short stack! That's a lot of food for less than $15!!! Oh yes, and I had the cold brew coffee with sweet cream or whatever it was.... it was delicious!! Since literally every employee interacted with me because they were not very busy while I was there, i'm giving a shout out.... thank you so much to December and Susan, the two managers on duty! And each associate... Cristina, Caroline, Amber and Akela, all friendly and beautiful representatives of the company. I didn't go in the bathrooms but I guarantee they're clean because the rest of the restaurant was sparkling. This place has a pretty large parking lot with plenty of spaces. They are right next to food lion and another few stores, so you can actually get other things done while visiting. What else.... they even had two TVs there, that you could keep up with current events if you wanted. I don't recall seeing tvs in the other locations. Thanks for a great breakfast and i'm happy to know there's one closer to me now! Last thing... I was there a little before 1pm, and maybe that's why it wasn't too busy. They said they had a very busy day, and of course, the day before fourth of july. But I was in there, with only two other...
Read moreThe front line staff have always been very polite and professional. When using the drive-through, whenever my order is for more than about two people, there is usually something wrong with it, even if the order was relatively simple. On one occasion I brought an order home, only to discover that they had forgotten part of it. In the past I have typically just shrugged it off. But this time, I was fed up with the frequency of that kind of thing happening so I drove back to the shop and complained. The managers appeared beleaguered and indifferent, and ultimately, dismissive and condescending. I received the part of my order that was originally missing and half a refund for it. The only apology I got, which was probably the most valuable thing to me, was from one of the front line workers. None of the three "managers" that I evidently spoke with (no one introduced themselves to me or told me their role) showed any sincere concern or contrition. It's gotten to the point now where, when driving through, one must check everything in their bag for any incorrect or missing items before driving off. You can't trust that they got it right. It may seem like a small thing, but when the whole point of your business is speed and convenience, the value becomes...
