I must preface this review with the fact that I had heard wonderful things about Mama G's. However upon arrival I was met with a empty hostess/host station no customers in line for a table and a few minutes wait until a hostess arrived to seat my party of two. After being seated we were promptly attended to by our sever who by the way provided excellent service. I chose the veal parm and my significant other went with the lobster ravioli, we both opted for the 6 dollar additional side salad. Salads were brought out promptly and were small, lackluster, and one hell of a profit maker for the establishment... Before we were half way done with our salads; we were hungry so we were eating them rather quickly mind you, the entrees were thrust in front of us with a be careful the bowls are hot. BOWLS.... When has veal Parm ever been a thing served in a damn 8-inch salad bowl?!?! , I felt a little concerned at this point as the veal Parm is 18 bucks, i found a small patty of what one could only assume as mechanically separated slurry that looked nothing like veal had a slate grey color and the aroma of a freshly opened can of alpo dog food. (Not implying that it was dog food just merely stating what it smelled and resembled in odor) I tried a small bite, it had no flavor of veal but purely of some sort of filler and mush, I then promptly moved to the pasta that was exposed on the other half of the bowl, to find it drowning in a red water not a sauce. I don't send food back, that's just not me but I flagged our sever down and asked him if to send it back to the kitchen and ask if they still in house breaded the veal as it says on the website. He returned prompt and apologized, asked if I wanted something else from the menu however I had lost my appetite by this point. He offered a dessert as well and continued to provide excellent and prompt service. The serving staff seem wonderful and do a great job, but the food was sadly a massive...
Read moreNot sure where to start. Asked for a booth, 3 adults and toddler, no booths available. Was give a very small table, so small we had to put the centerpiece on another empty table for room. Ordered water no lemon with waiter "Z", he acknowledged that order, yet brought lemon. Waited a very long time for him to come back to take our order. Ordered greek salad with chicken. Got the salad only, no chicken. Had to ask for the chicken which took awhile to come out (this is our 2nd time at this restaurant and we had the same waiter before who messed up the same exact order in that he can't remember to add the chicken for some reason or omit the lemon) Toddler ordered child's meal, chicken and french fries, that came out with an extra large side basket of additional french fries, perplexed, we asked why so many fries? With an additude he grabbed the extra basket of fries and just took them away, came back 10 minutes later wanted to know if everything was okay. No we said, we ordered Eggplant Parmesan, it's still not out. Meanwhile everyone else is eating. He's goes and checks, came back with, sorry, I messed up the order, I'm having the Eggplant put in now. Comes back sometime later, says should be only 3 more minutes. Comes back even later says, I'm sorry, they still have YET to even put it in the oven at all!! Do you still want it? (Seriously!) Said yes, the adult who ordered it is pregnant, so waited even longer, finally got it. We did not ask for a comp, I wanted to see if he'd do the right thing and figured if they had good business sense, with the horrible service, they may do something. The bill comes, he gave only a 10% discount. Mistakes happen, but there was zero effort and and plenty of additude from this waiter who only let it get worse and worse. My family will never eat...
Read moreI very rarely leave a NEGATIVE REVIEW But I have drove by this place for years and it’s always packed or closed So tonight we caught it open and we had plenty of time to wait to be seated (took 15 minutes not bad on a Saturday night at 7:00pm) That’s as far as the Good goes They have a mixed menu or some foods they only serve in the morning and some only on the weekend and some from 10-2 Tuesday through Thursday . I have never understood the WHY??? So after trying to order 4 different things they didn’t have them available at that time (like the ribeyes were going bad before Sunday after 3 ) Now here comes the worst part I ordered Wings (really hard to mess up i thought) They were so under cooked that I couldn’t tear them apart without the aid of a knife !! The Garlic bread was ok My wife had chicken Parmesan and the pasta was so over cooked that she didn’t eat three bites and the Chicken was a frozen chicken patty they was just chopped up and covered with slimy pasta and powdered Parmesan cheese (like the one Walmart sells on the Dollar isle) Now for the final nail in the coffin My wings were $20. Bucks My bread sticks was $10 bucks My wife’s Bowl of chicken Parmesan was $18.00 in a regular sized cereal bowl The drinks were not on the ticket so I guess they are free?? So for $51.84 yeah Fifty one dollars and eighty four cents And a. 10 percent tip which was $5.00 so after all was said and done $57.84 for some extremely under cooked wings One bowl of slimy pasta and a frozen chicken patty. We just left and brought the breadsticks and wings home but twice cooked chicken wings is just as good as eating a insole out of my boots So I’m sorry but it was really...
