I have another reason to go.....NOW For the last 3 episodes, as i like to call them, I have gone to Smithfield BBQ with an utter disappointment. Most people would have given up on them by now. At The Smithfield store, I have ordered the family style pack with 6 pieces of extra chicken, paid for it, According to the receipt, and get home to see no extra chicken...Call to complain and only get a busy signal for two days. At The Clayton store I have ordered the regular Family pack and get to find out there is no BBQ with it, again, i have paid for it according to the receipt. Then once in the drive thru I ordered the combo platter BBQ and chicken....Paid for it and when i went to open it, see there is NO BBQ....Tap on the window and the server telling me " I didn't pay for it", until i showed her i did, with receipt in hand. THIS time they made good on it..THIS TIME. Today 8-21-2020 I go and order another combo plate, I was going to dine in this time. They are out of Thighs.....REALLY ??? Okay, i asked to replace with the tenders, which was good enough. now This is the reason i will continue to go back. A worker there observed that i was flustered with it...Also saw that i had dropped my fork on the floor....now i am totally disgusted. This worker Came over to me and asked if he could get me another fork...He was mopping the floor, he didn't even have to do this and could have totally ignored me and kept mopping..He didn't. His name is Reggie. I do not know Reggie and I have never spoken to him in my life until this date. All I got to say is ...If Smithfield BBQ had MORE employees LIKE REGGIE, They would run like a sail boat on a smooth Ocean. THANK YOU REGGIE FOR RESTORING MY FAITH IN YOUR RESTAURANT AGAIN !!!! Read moreMy family and I decided to come dine in the other night and I had the worst experience ever!! It was almost 9pm, no one was dining in just a few cars at the drive-through, we waited there at the counter 10 minutes or more and even tho the workers there were inform of us, they never greeted us, didn’t try to take our order, they didn’t even came near the register. After us waiting all that time, I ask “excuse me, is there anyone taking orders “ one replies “ we are busy with some orders”. Did not apologize and not even then tried to serve us. This is unacceptable!! Every business should be very professional and have if not excelente customer service, but at least some good customer service. I don’t want to think that but it all takes me to thing this was a racial attitude since we are Hispanic, I don’t see any other reason for not even wanting to greet us nor serve us. When placing our order thru the drive thru it was hard to understand the menu board bc it doesn't say if it's fried or grilled chicken or shrimp or what kind of meat is with the bbq. the woman was very rude. We were asking what the bbq large is, meaning what kind of meat it is and she kept replying it was chopped bbq. She was very short with her words and felt annoyed by us. Then we ordered my son a kids tender meal and it literally came with one chicken tender. We called the place and apparently in a kids tender meal they only get 1 tender.. We received no utensils, which we needed and were using our fingers to eat coselaw.. and no bbq sauce.. we spent $45 there and just felt like a waste of money.
