I emailed customer service, requested that I be contacted with a resolve, and never received one. SO they must not care about what happens in their establishments.
I have NEVER had Zaxby's EVER. I have lived here in Clayton since 2014 and finally today decided to give Zaxby's a try. It is my first, and LAST time eating here. Their image is tarnished in my mind now.... I placed a TO-GO order. I arrived, checked in on the app and watched 12+ cars go through drive-thru, I tried calling, to ensure everything was good, and no answer (later found out they were on the line and that is why it just rang) I walked over to the service window and asked about my order. This was after waiting 12 minutes for an order I placed on the app (should have given them even more time to make a simple order) Lilly went int o find my order, and sure enough it had just been sitting there and no one was paying attention.
I told her that the drink wasn't even supposed to have ice, yet there it was, full of ice. (She could have offered to remake it but she did not)I should have checked my order before leaving but I was already aggravated and in a bad mood. I pulled off and checked it at the grocery store on my way home and the ONLY thing that they got right was the chicken strips and even those were barely warm and tiny dried up things. They put NO SAUCE, I wanted coleslaw as the side, I got fries and there you have it! That is my first impression of your restaurant.
I did speak to the Manager Octavia(not sure if that is correct spelling of her name) and told her what happened. She did apologize but that means very little when you waste your time and money on something and it is made that horrendously and incompetently wrong. She offered to make a free meal (and why would I want that? so it too can be made incorrectly?)
I can now understand why these are considered an unskilled job, but I mean, come on? can they NOT even read an order receipt? they need to do better at this location....but I am 100 million percent not interested in their food anymore. Smithfield's has better service and chicken strips anyways. I am sorry that I gave this restaurant a chance. So yeah they forgot both sauces. As you can see on the receipt it was supposed to be coleslaw and I got fries instead... And then you can see what the chicken strips look like which were dry and barely warm. Read moreI'm really not one to leave a review but after several bad experiences at the Clayton NC location in particular I felt I had no choice. I usually place an online order for my family's dinner 2-3 times a week but not anymore! The orders were ALWAYS wrong, constantly missing items and whenever I called the store and spoke with a manager about it he basically said it was my fault for not letting him know every single time it happened. He did give me 3 free meal cards as an apology but whenever I tried to redeem my free meal card I was informed that it would only cover my Cobb salad and not my drink and side of cheesecake bites so I had to come out of my pocket and pay for my "free meal". I could understand if I had ordered a ton of food but I didn't, I ordered the same thing I order every time I go. Some of the staff is super friendly but the managers, not so much. There was also quite a few instances where I tried to place orders and was told they had no salads, no milkshakes (and they were being advertised as 50% off, no tomatoes, eggs, or cucumbers for the salads, and several times I was given ranch dipping sauce instead of ranch salad dressing for my Cobb salads. I used to work fast food for years so I understand how it goes and I am currently a manager in a retail setting so I understand the dynamics of customer service and this just isn't it! I digress, because that is all locations but specifically this one I had a terrible experience. The woman who took my order rung it up twice and when i asked why the price was so high she responded to pull forward and the next employee will explain. I wasn't looking for an explanation i wanted a fix. The next one couldn't fix it so a manager came outside to correct. I was given the wrong order, had to come inside and was told I "took" the wrong order. 3 young ladies addressed me with misinformation about my order and the manager made it better by giving me the correct order, letting me keep what I had and providing a voucher for the next time. I could tell there was no structure there but if they would take a page from his book they'd go farther. I think his name was Joe or something. Kudos to him!
