This was my second visit. The chow here I feel is the best Mexican food around and there's no shortage of Mexican places. We got the beef nachos. They're perfect. You get a nice pile. There's a good beef-chip-cheese ratio. You know, some places you get a pile of chips and everything else is plopped on the top. These bad lads had beef and cheese throughout. I know, you're thinking "Well done!" And I say "Well done indeed!". The wife got the chicken and steak fajitas. They came with rice and beans. Don't let me forget to tell you about the beans. The fajita meats were well cooked and seasoned. Of course you get the sour cream, lettuce, cheese and stuff. She was quite happy. I got the build-your-own combo. I got beef burrito, chicken tamale and a chicken enchilada. The beef is so fine. They do it up just right. The chicken is super. The sauce is on point. You get a great sweet corn flavor coming through from the tamale shell mixing up with the chicken. The chicken is mixed with green pepper and onion and cooked together and the result is a smooth flavor. The chicken marries up well in the enchilada. The beef burrito is so good that if I was having my last meal, that burrito is a contender. I'd get the combo, all beef burritos. The rice is fine. Good flavor but not overpowering. And then there are the beans. I don't know how they do it. The beans have a great texture. They're properly creamy and cooked to near bean-perfection. The flavor is incredible. I totally dig their beans. Big win for me is the spouse doesn't like beans. Once again, there was no desert or coffee. The place is nice inside. There's plenty of parking. Its in the strip mall where the Walmart is. The staff there is fantastic. They have the drinks, appetizer, entree relationship figured. You know, you go to some place and no sooner do you get your egg rolls and your burger's out 2 minutes later. The folks are super friendly too. Saving the best for last, the prices are super reasonable. My combo was 12 bux!. Stop by. Give em a try. Careful, it could...
Read moreNormally pretty good place to go and eat but today was very disturbing. I honestly made a mistake ordering my food that I understood but then the way the waitress went about it was wrong. My wife motioned to the waitress that we needed help she walked past her and gave her the finger. No I'm sorry I'll be right with you. So once I make her aware of the simple mistake she decided correcting me like a child was the way to go. But I'm a grown man. So moments later the waitress returned with the menu and threw it on the table. Mind you my wife is still eating. I was really irate at this point and I instantly lost my appetite the cook and the manager were both nice and apologetic. I let them know that they were not the problem but at that point I was not hungry. So the waitress comes back with the food asking me to eat it . It's free. But I just don't like the way you threw the menu. That we just wanted the bill. So here comes the bill and mind you my wife is still eating her food she grabs her plate still with a decent amount of food left and walks off. I'm so upset and ready to leave I pay the bill. Still not processing what just happened. I realized I was charged and I shouldn't have had to pay for anything because the waitress took my wife's plate. Normally I blow this off but this was something that really ruined a beautiful day...
Read moreI recently visited Fiesta Mexicana in Clayton, and overall, we had a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with a lively, colorful decor that definitely adds to the authenticity of the place. It was a nice setting for a casual dinner out.
We started with the street corn as an appetizer, which was really tasty. The corn was grilled to perfection, with a nice balance of seasoning and toppings that gave it a great flavor. It wasn’t too heavy, making it a perfect start to the meal.
For my main course, I went with the ACP Chicken, and I have to say, it was quite good. The chicken was well-seasoned, tender, and the portion was generous. The cheese sauce over the rice and chicken was creamy and delicious, making it a comforting and satisfying dish. The flavors came together well without being overly spicy, which I personally appreciated.
Service was prompt and friendly, and our server checked in on us several times throughout the meal. If I had any critique, it would be that while everything was enjoyable, the food didn’t stand out as particularly exceptional. That being said, it was a solid meal, and I would definitely come back to try some of their other menu items.
If you’re in the mood for some good, reliable Mexican food in Clayton, Fiesta Mexicana is...
