There is a reason why this place has nothing less than 5 stars. Flan is one of my absolute favorite desserts, a Very simple dessert but if not done correctly can either become rubbery and more like Jello, or it can be cooked too quickly at a higher heat which creates a gritty not so pleasant texture which basically means you should just throw it out because it's not worth it at that point. Another thing that can happen is the caramel sauce doesn't get cooked long enough and is too light and lacking flavor.
All of that being said, you don't have to worry about any of that with Claudia's flan... it is sheer perfection. Plenty of perfectly darkened caramel, the creamiest filling that just holds its shape when you take a spoonful, and the flavor is orgasmic. You can tell she puts just a pinch of salt in the mix to bring out all of the flavors. Truly a stellar job and we'll worth any amount of drive you need to make to get it.

I completely forgot to order something in days prior for a special occasion to celebrate my husband. Claudia willingly wanted to make this for me with just a few hours notice. When she couldn't get it done by the time she told me, she had it personally delivered. It showed up just in time for dessert after our dinner! The cake was absolutely delicious and incredibly beautiful. It was a 5 layer cake. It was very impressive. I am so grateful to have found her. This is what is so great about local business. They do things for you that most corporate bakeries wouldn't and they provide a level of customer service you just don't find with large bakeries. Read moreI called in to order cupcakes to be delivered to my sister's workplace on her birthday. I spoke with a very sweet lady, whose name I can't remember (sorry), and she was extremely helpful. I ordered a dozen dark chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing. American or French buttercream? She asked. What's the difference? French is lighter and not so sweet. More refined. I took the French option, and since it was a birthday present for my sister, she included a handwritten card and put gorgeous silver pearls on the cupcakes to make them even more special.
My sister loved them!! The head chef at her company said it was possibly the best cupcake he ever had. Moist cake... perfectly sweet and airy... and the French buttercream was light and not garishly sweet. Very sophisticated and delicious. Everyone agreed they were perfection!
10/10 Would definitely order...
