There is nothing like being prepared. And that's exactly what this place is.
NOTHING LIKE BEING PREPARED!!!
I saw ads on TV for the salted caramel coffee and decided to try it and dropped in at the 1831 Highland Ave, Clearwater location. The ads are still running on their flash screen. First, it took 3-5 minutes for the cashier to acknowledge my presence. Then I asked for the salted caramel coffee and she said, and "It's been discontinued." I said, "But the TV ads are still running and so is the sign right above your head. " She said, "They won't change the signs or the ads until next season. I only know we can't get it because they said it had been discontinued. " I said, "Okay. Can I get a medium black coffee and omelet bites?" She said, "You want cream and sugar? Or I can give you the salted cream foam." Me, "no thanks. Just black with an order of omelet bites. " She, "You just want the coffee black? " Me, "Yes, please. " She, "and do you want the bacon/ cheddar or veggie omelet bites? " Me, "bacon/ cheddar, please." She, "So, you want a medium black coffee and bacon/ cheddar omelet bites? " Me, "Yes, please. " Her Co-worker set the coffee on the counter in front of me and she repeated my order one more time and told me how much the order was. I gave her a $20 and she opened the cash register and said "there ain't no drawer here." And repeated that phrase 5 times each time getting a little louder. Then she and 4 other employees disappeared behind the partition for another 5 +/- minutes. (During which time another couple came in; got tired of waiting; and left) After futzing around another couple of minutes, she gave me my change. I picked up my omelet bites which were already on the pick- up counter and claimed a...
Read moreI’ve gone to this DD for years and prefer any other one for a number of reason. This mornings visit blew me away though. I ordered a HEC bagel with hash brown, coffee, plain croissant and two bananas. I even asked if they had YELLOW bananas because my 1yr old won’t eat the green ones since they’re too bitter. I pulled up to the window and was handed my bag of food, two GREEN bananas and my coffee. I handed the lady at the window the bananas and told her they’re too green and my daughter won’t eat them. She then said to the other employees “she said the bananas are too green”. Which I interpreted as an attitude. My 9yr old was looking in the bag for his plain croissant and instead found a plain bagel. I handed the lady the little bag with the bagel and said “we ordered a plain croissant but this is a bagel”. She was confused for a sec and asked someone to get her a croissant. Suddenly there were 3 employees at the drive up window, the lady that had been serving us holding a small bag, some other chick and a male holding another small bag, the guy said “you ordered a plain bagel” I said no I ordered a croissant it even says so on my receipt.” He proceeds to tell me “you said plain bagel I heard you!” And the lady that was serving me said “no you said croissant here you go” and hands me the long awaited croissant. The reason for two stars is because the lady who I thought was giving an attitude in the beginning turned out to have my back when the random dude was trying to make me wrong for...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this Dunkin’ Donuts location. I went out of my way to surprise my mother-in-law with breakfast—ordered her a croissant sandwich, thinking I was doing something nice. I’ve had plenty of these sandwiches before and never had an issue, but what we received this time was absolutely unacceptable.
The croissant was completely burnt—not slightly overdone, but black and charred. She was at work and couldn’t leave to return it, and honestly, it ruined her breakfast and my entire morning. When she contacted the store, the response she got made it even worse. The employee told her, “That’s how some people like it.”
Excuse me? Since when do you assume that someone wants a burnt sandwich without them asking for it that way? I never asked for it like that, and if someone does like it that way, that’s fine—for them. But don’t use that as an excuse for giving out poor quality food.
What happened to customer service and food standards? This is by far the worst Dunkin’ Donuts experience I’ve ever had. I really hope the manager addresses this, because it’s not just about a sandwich—it’s about respect for your customers and the food you’re...
