Gorditas Don Huicho — Restaurant in Clearwater

Long story is below the short of it is this: “They got both orders on our dinner 100% wrong and acknowledged it, when asking for a refund they required us to return all the food and drinks, when the drinks were already open (obviously) they refused to refund them a total of $10, and told us to never come back.”

LONG STORY IS BELOW

The worst place I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Me and my wife came in for a dinner last night and order 2 entrées of enchiladas. This cost $35

The first order was cheese enchiladas red sauce and rice with beans.

The second order was supposed to be Steak enchiladas with green sauce and double rice, no beans, we also order 2 sodas.

When we received our order they were both cheese enchiladas with green sauce and double rice literally no beans in either order and no steak at all, meaning the 2nd order is NON EXISTANT and the 1st order has no beans and the wrong sauce, so as you can see both orders are COMPLETELY WRONG.

This was going to be just fine, any sensible human would expect to be able to get a refund on the orders and to get the correct order made, THIS WAS NOT THE CASE HOWEVER. My wife and I drove back after explaining on the phone that our orders were wrong, the lady on the phone read back the order correctly so we knew that the cooks must have gotten mixed up (it happens), we work in the food industry and we were 100% understanding it’s really not a big deal. We came in and asked for a refund they said that they could not give us a refund of the sodas (~$9) because we did not return them.

LET ME REPEAT. “They can’t refund the sodas because we did not return them” they wanted half empty, open soda bottles in order to return them, we were astonished. We then started to argue, they were trying to keep 1/3 of the money because we didn’t return it, (Keep in mind we returned both dishes UNTOUCHED) the lady at the front said if we wanted a refund on the sodas we need to talk to the owner and she comes in tomorrow, we took our refund on the food ~$22 and planed to return.

The next morning we come back asking about a refund and explain to the owner that both orders were 100% wrong and because of that we want the FULL $35 back. She says no, that because they did not get the sodas back we were not getting anything, and told us that we could leave, after an exchange we left with $6, and were told to...

Came in for lunch and ordered the milanesa torta. They came back with the food for every one in my party but me, which i was ok with because it would probably be out soon. That's what the waitress told me so i waited... 5 mins later she comes back says it's almost ready....5 mins later she says I think they're preparing it right now.....5 mins later the waitress comes back and ask if i wanted to order something else because what i wanted isn't going to be ready any time soon. Keep in mind I'm the only one in my party with no food and everyone else is already half way done. I said i don't want anything else i want what i ordered, if there was a problem with what i ordered they should have told me at the beginning instead of having me wait 15 mins. It eventually took them another 15 mins to have my torta ready and bring it out. By that time everyone in my party was done and they still wanted us to pay after waiting for almost an hour with no food. Never...

Our server was not helpful. For starters, they were out of queso which is ok, but then the chips were stale, the food was not authentic Mexican food, and we left all of it on the table when my friend found a hair in her food. We asked for a manager but none available and when asked for a number to speak with one she gave me the number for the restaurant itself. She showed no regard for our enjoyment of the food and when we said we were extremely dissatisfied she didn't seem to care about it at all. The enchiladas were slopped on a plate and not even rolled, the quesadilla was so dry it couldn't even be swallowed. The tacos were decent but over cooked and over priced and the size of what a kid's meal might look like. By far the worst Mexican food I've experienced in my entire life.
