ALDI — Local services in Clearwater

This is a great store , clean , best customer service in this area, but today June 26, 2025 at 645 pm I had my first BAD EXPERIENCE at this store, when this new employee started THROWING DOWN all my food , I needed to ask her for my bananas and still SHE kept throwing everything til the very last item. I’m requesting please to management please watch the camera that was in top of middle register. I brought it to her attention and she DENIED that’s when I reminded her of the cameras. There was no long line not even a person behind me, I asked her why such a rush in asking me for the way of payment , I was trying to reach to my credit card. She kept arguing she was doing the right thing. I ended so upset that I left everything in the shopping cart. This cashier was a black slim female, light skin with black threads wearing them up like a pony tail . Aldi is a great supermarket with selected products with great prices. You cannot find everything here, but almost everything here is a great bargain. I love the automatic doors, and working sanitizing station at the door. Find mostly bulk produce, mostly organic. I love the pork tenderloin while fresh meats and chicken are pretty good. Today I fond every thing for my holiday charcuterie board, cheeses, fancy crackers, meats and wines. Frozen foods include preparations I have never seen and I want to check them out. Limited yogurt selection today but cold brew stock is great. Grocery carts use a quarter to remove them from the cart center and you get your quarter back. I usually find someone who shares their cart and I pass on the favor. Great limited selection of toys and gifts, including a s'mores maker machine! Wide clean aisles that are wheel chair accessible. Restroom is accessible with heavy door. Love the quiet background. BYOB: bags, boxes, backpacks as they offer no free bags and sell Aldi bags for 12 cents. First impressions are important. I felt this Aldi may have been understaffed today and IF that was indeed the case, my review may be a bit harsh. Unfortunately my very first visit here, started with a trip to the restrooms, which was completely out of toilet paper. Not fun, being a female, especially if there are also no paper towels to dry hands, as they opted for the air drying method exclusively. Bringing the situation to a cashier attention appeared to be of no interest to this individual. Check out was held up, also quite unusual, by one cashier leaving the register for a price check and the other cleaning up a dry (chips) spill on his aisle. This is what gave the impression that there may be no third person to assist with either or even both situations in order for customers to be able to check out. Otherwise the store appeared, as most Aldi, well stocked, clean and even had marked down merchandise is the none food aisles.
