As you push the creaky door open to Monty's Pizza, you're greeted by a musty aroma that could rival Grandma's attic on a humid day. The atmosphere feels oddly reminiscent of a forgotten '80s movie set, complete with faded posters of long-gone celebrities endorsing pizzas that probably led to their downfall.
The dรฉcor screams retro, but not in a cool way; more like a desperate cry for a renovation that never came. The plastic checkered tablecloths are stickier than a toddler's post-ice cream hands, and the dim lighting does little to hide the suspicious stains on the walls that might tell stories better left unheard.
The menu, a relic of a bygone era, boasts a parade of pizzas that seem to have been forgotten by the culinary gods themselves. Each slice is a symphony of disappointment, with toppings that look like they were selected based on what was left in the fridge after a particularly rowdy party.
The first bite is a revelation, of sorts. The crust crumbles like a sandcastle in a rainstorm, revealing a sad excuse for tomato sauce that tastes more like a forgotten can of ketchup than anything resembling marinara. The cheese, if you can call it that, stretches in a way that defies the laws of physics, clinging desperately to the slice as if begging for escape.
The toppings, a haphazard mix of mystery meats and wilted vegetables, are a cacophony of flavors that never quite harmonize. It's as if each ingredient is on its own personal journey to ruin your taste buds, with no regard for the chaos they create together.
Monty's Pizza is more than a restaurant; it's a time capsule of culinary mediocrity, a place where flavor goes to die and dreams of deliciousness are crushed like so many overripe tomatoes. So, if you're feeling adventurous and have a strong stomach, step right up to Monty's Pizza - where taste takes a vacation and your appetite goes to die a slow,...

I drove by this place on my way to my usual pizza joint, which was really undergoing an identity crisis(Food wasn't consistent, service was going down) and they haven't even been open 6 months. I promised myself I would try Monty's Pizza next time.
I ordered a cheese pizza, an order of mozz sticks and a side of their alfredo sauce to get a preview of what their pasta is like.
Atmosphere - Very casual sit down place with a clear view of the kitchen. You can watch them toss the dough and craft their foods. Has a bar, Very nice for a fun date night. They have kids menus and crayons, so don't go thinking it's just a bar that happens to serve food. I would classify this as a wholesome family restaurant by all means. Parking lot is kinda cramped and at night it could definitely use some more lighting towards the back.
Pizza - It's what I've been longing for. It's a pizza that clearly has had a lot of work put into it over time. Sauce was boss, not thin and bland, not chunky and overwhelming, but just right. Pulled the pizza together as a good pizza sauce does. Spot on pizza from the local joint everybody loves.
Mozzarella Sticks - No. I'm spoiled on fried mozzarella sticks, not a fan of the oven baked ones. Breading was bland, soggy on the bottom no crisp or crunch to be found here. Not my thing, but even so, I can't suggest soggy mozzarella sticks to anyone.
Alfredo sauce - Great preview of what I'll be receiving next time I go there and get pasta. Tangy, light, just right. Get some bread and dip it, it's awesome stuff, especially for a local joint.
Am I going back? Absolutely! Probably not for sit down because the place was just packed, but for take-out? I'll be visiting again to get some more of that awesome and consistent pizza and to try...
ย ย ย Read moreMy 4 yr old Daughter has special needs. She has made this place her pizza home, the pizza is amazing an staff is amazing as well and super friendly and accommodating. My Daughter is fixated on a stuffed animal bumble bee ๐ that sits on the shelf at" the pizza shack" as she calls it! She also make loud noises and fusses over the bee and the kind soul of a gentleman would actually stop what he's doing and get it down for her to play with during our weekly visit each time we go he does this for her it makes her happy and when she's happy I'm happy. We sit at the same table and do the same things in the same order each visit I love the staff because they welcomed my baby with open arms and even during her meltdowns they GOT HER BACK AND MINES TOO. Sometimes going to public places can be challenging for her and in the past atvother places I got us up and I left, one day I was about to leave due to an incident about my daughters obsession and outbursts about the bee ๐ Uncomfortable comments and words from another customer, the staff refused to let me leave THAT MEANT EVERYTHING TO ME. we finished our pizza and the customer that I had words with came over to my table and apologized and said IM SO SORRY FOR WHAT I SAID ,I SAID ME 2 IM SO SORR FOR WHAT I SAID He said I too have an Autistic child in my family so I understand. I stood up and accepted his apology and hugged his neck and he hugged me back I mean THAT ALSO MEANT EVERYTHING TO ME. Overall it's really a great place and all positive vibes. I have been intending to put this review on her for a few months now so I finally did it. Be kind and gentle you never know what someone is going through I swear Montys is the best and the customers too. THE...
