Edit: Owner replied FALSELY claiming chow mein is not noodles (Chow mein and lo mein are BOTH noodles, but a DIFFERENT KIND! LOOK IT UP IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME!) and there was a label? The only labels I noticed didn't imply NO NOODLES! Label on the paper menu says "(W. White rice &fried noodle)" With a side of white rice and fried noodle(kinda redundant since chow mein means fried noodles)? The online menu says not soft noodle. Chow mein is usually firm to slightly crispy noodles, lo mein is usually soft noodles! That's why I ordered chow mein instead of the lo mein! Just google lo mein vs chow mein BOTH NOODLES, JUST DIFFERENT KINDS! And you have the AUDACITY to think I'm going to believe FRIED NOODLES IS NOT NOODLES? And I should order lo mein? I DO NOT WANT LO MEIN, I WANT CHOW MEIN! The "misunderstanding" is all on YOUR side! From my research Chinese takeout places on the east coast of the USA randomly sell chop suey with a bag of crispy garnish as chow mein! It even has its own name "New York" or "East Coast" style "chow mein" which is just mislabeled chop suey! (Which is what I guessed it was in my original review).
Never been to Panda Express before but at least their chow mein actually looks like chow mein, I'll be going there from now on!
I was a long time customer, I will NEVER order from this place ever again! It's a SHAME that the big chain restaurant does better than the local place! The AUDACITY you have to LIE to a loyal customer when a simple search or recipie book will prove you wrong!
Original review (before edit): Food is usually good, but I was craving chow mein (supposed to be similar to lo mein but firm noodles). I like my noodles firm instead of soft and mushy so I ordered the chow mein instead of the lo mein. What I got was some nasty tasting soup, not a noodle in sight except for a bag of dried out stuff you would use to garnish a salad. Looked more like chop suey! (Which I don't think is even on their menu here!) Google chow mein and what do you get? Noodles! Search for what chow mein means in english and what do you get? "Stir-fried noodles"! I guess the tiny bag of crispy salad topping was the "noodles"? Even if they weren't totally dried out there was barely a...
Read moreNormally I don't write reviews but this place has got to have the worst service I've personally experienced. I have ordered from these people at least ten times or more, and each time something went wrong. Food was missing, orders were mixed up, the wait time was atrociously long (3 hours) for being across the street from my house. I could have driven there and picked it up in five minutes, but guess it serves me right for not wanting to leave the house during work hours. Whatever, food gets here and let's say it arrives perfectly...except the rice containers are completely open and some of my soup is dripping down the side. On top of all this mess I still ordered from them (crazy right?) and the final straw was the last time it happened: I placed an order for $20 worth of food and waited for four hours before finally caving and calling to ask about where it was. Mind you, the receipt was already emailed to me as well as the useless estimated wait time. Well, I asked them where the food was and they blatantly said I didn't order anything. Not only that but both the speaker and manager were VERY rude and didn't seem to be understanding what I was trying to communicate at all. I had to go out of my way to have the bank send my money back and order a pizza. I guess it's my fault for relying on people to do their jobs but whatever. The place's food wasn't the best I've had, they were just the only place that delivered. I'd rather drive to get Chinese than depend on these clowns to deliver anything decent let...
Read moreI definitely would not recommend this Chinese food restaurant at about 2pm this Saturday. Me and my husband just ordered fried chicken wings and chicken fried rice, crab ragon, and egg roll. First I will say they definitely red to change the grease. None of the food tasted fresh and everything was extremely greasy. The chicken in the fried rice was hard and translucent as if it was also old. Everything was like warm and was just a major turn off from eating Chinese food. I usually go to the Chinese food restaurant right across the street but I thought I would give this place a try since I always eat there exert time I want my fix. I should have followed my first mind and stuck with what I knew because on top on everything being old and cooked with old dirty grease, they are more expensive than my usual spot. China 99 give you small circle black containers and the other place give you packed white styrofoam trays. On a positive note, the staff were fairly nice… but I still...
