Eggs Up Grill — Restaurant in Clemson

Update; terrific servers abound! We always get polite, efficient and friendly servers when we dine here (approximately 2x/month). Lindsey (sp?) was exactly that. She kept our drinks filled, smiled when interacting with us and thanked us for coming.

The food is consistently tasty and usually hot when it arrives at the table. This is our number one spot for breakfast on a weekday in Clemson!!

Update; Slower paced today so plenty of seats. Some new servers learning the tasks, so add grace for your visit. Maria is kind and pleasant every time we see her. Food was fresh, hot and yummy -- pancakes with strawberries, banana and blueberry!

Update: Lots of new items as the seasons change. Cinnamon swirl french toast today, along with caramel donuts -- sweet treat!

We're regulars now and our server (Jay?) brought us our drinks before we even asked. She also made sure we were topped up regularly. It's nice to be known!

Busy Friday morning untill just after 10:00 am. Then the crowd clears out and you can have a conversation with your server. We love the people we get to meet! Update: Friday morning is a great time to stop in. Unless there's a home football game for Clemson. Then there's a crowd all weekend!

Love the food options - the red white and blue waffle is yummy with strawberry and blueberry on top! Servers are always working hard and make sure we have topped off drinks, without us even having to ask! Saturday morning it's packed until about 1030. Come then to avoid the crowd.

The 3-egg omelette, toast and grits was almost too much for me! Very tasty and done well.

The manager stopped by twice to make sure we were ok and had what we needed.

A great option for breakfast in Clemson!

We choose Eggs Up at least two times a month for our Friday morning breakfast date, Hubby favors the hash and I'm a fan of the half waffle eggs and bacon.

Consistent positive experience over the past 2 years. We take all our out of town friends there and recommend it to everyone else.

I have ate at two locations several times. This one and the one in Powdersville. I reviewed the one in Powdersville a 5 star because it was. This one not so much.

I am more writing this review for management as the food was excellent. However the service, severely lacking.

Upon walking in my wife and I were greeted by two hosts. Asked us the usual. We wound up sitting while they decided to put us. I counted 4 to 5 empty tables at this time. After a few minutes 3 college aged kids came in and were immediately sat at one of the tables that was empty when we walked in. Then a few minutes later we were sat in a booth that was just cleaned. I asked the host what the difference was in the table and the booth. She said nothing. I then asked if they had a reservation being sarcastic. She then informed me it was her first day on the job. Like I give a damn. Where is the training. After looking around I counted 10 to 11 employees. I could not tell which one was the manager but I could definitely tell who was lacking training. What is going on with this world? Nobody wants to work. Nobody cares anymore. Nobody uses common sense. Like the get a coffee refill. Took forever to get the check. Then even longer to pay. Terrible experience and it is a direct reflection on management. Food is good....

ce we got them we ordered an appetizer. Just the appetizer itself took an hour 1/2 to come out. Within that time she did not come to our table ONCE. the only time we saw her was when we placed the order. We had noticed that everyone around us had either not even ordered yet because their waitress didn't come see them or they were steady waiting for food for over an hour. We maybe saw waiters 3 times outside, WITH ALL THE TABELS FULL might I add, nobody was being helped and it overall was just horribly slow. Then we got our appetizer and it was very mediocre and she did apologize for the wait but not for her own absence. We already weren't pleased with anything. We had people around us asking if we had even been helped or if we were STILL waiting on food. And then about 30 minutes after that our actual food came out and it was very very mediocre. Nothing was good but the pancakes which you really can't mess up. If I had the names to the other servers around I would name drop but the one we had was Madyson. Though she did apologize she was just not doing a great job and by the end when we told her we lost our appetite and could hardly even eat ALL she took off our check was my like $4 coffee.
