I was in town visiting and take out, where I come from, you have 4-5 choices in a 10min distance that's not the case here and finding one that was like home is what I look for in my Chinese takeout. Where do you go to find what your looking for the reviews but it wasn't easy never is. According to the reviews everything was bad and if it was a good review they were closed or no delivery. Now this was over next 3 days, I'm serious about my chinese takeout, so we had been eyeing #1 Wok in Clermont so we went for it. Decided to pick it up we ordered when we arrived no dine in just takeout you can pre order or walk in prices were what you would expect the wait was about 20min. Chicken w/ broccoli, bourbon chicken both w/ pork fried rice 2 egg rolls and an order of wings.... The food was as good as it gets portion was enormous bourbon chkn was fresh not dry and the rice was hot and just made but my favorite part about the plates was the veggies they were so fresh the broccoli was crispy but my favorite was the egg roll hands down no question. Always remember when going for Chinese takeout try to time your order for the lunch or dinner rush your almost guaranteed the same...
Read moreI called this place multiple times at around 9:15-9:20. We came here at 9:40 to order a quick meal because every time we called they hung up. Mind you as we pull up the lights are on, the second they saw us park they shut the lights off. This place closes at 10 the door was wide open and the sign said open, when we walked inside the lady got an attitude immediately and asked “what you want”. I asked if we can order food and she said they are trying to close. I proceeded to say that they close at 10pm and she just stuttered and asked what im ordering as she rolled her eyes multiple times. I would have ordered online out of courtesy that they closed in an hour but they kept hanging up. Clearly they were trying to close way earlier than 10. Very unprofessional and extremely rude. She made us feel extremely unwelcome and wrong for ordering somewhere that’s still open for...
Read moreJust visiting Clermont for one night (hubbie doing a training bike ride tomorrow with Florida Wheelers), and wanted a carbohydrate fix - didn't want pasta again (had last night) - thought Chinese - No 1 Wok is SUPERCLOSE to Holiday Inn Express, reviews were good so we thought why not. Ordered large chicken fried rice with an egg, sesame noodles and small sweet and sour shrimp - let me tell you, the large chicken fried egg rice is enough for at least 4 HUNGRY adults - seriously - the portion was so big the lid hardly closed! LOTS of shrimp, the sesame noodles is also HUGE - I've been eating for ages and haven't even made a dent in it - flavors are good - it's not greasy at all - and there's enough for at least tomorrow and maybe Monday too - EXCELLENT! If we're back in Clermont, we'll eat here again. All this for about $20!!!! ...
