New Century Chinese Buffet — Restaurant in Clermont

Not very impressed. We remembered all too late why it is we don't go here.

Some of the food tasted like it came in contact with some sort of chemical(s) or cleansers. The muscles with cheese did not taste fresh. Some foods were good, but very few as compared to what was available on the lines.

You pay for drinks but only get TWO free refills. Something you don't see much of ANYWHERE. Not to mention I had to send my glass of water back, as it had food debris on the side of the cup.

Waitress had spilled my glass of water and didn't even bother to clean it up; just left it all on the table in front of my seat and under the cup.

Some of the chicken (chicken with peanut sauce and chicken with broccoli) tasted like "canned chicken" or frozen chicken and broccoli was mushy.

The waitress asked if table was okay when being seated. We said we prefer booth if one is available, but if not, I guess it's whatever. She said, I seat as each table becomes available. I mentioned a booth table that I noticed was clean in the back corner, and as it was OUR turn to be seated, one would think that would be good. However she mumbled something that I couldn't hear so I just chalked it up to "par for the course".

I believe my father brought my wife, daughter, and I here back around 2007/2008 and we weren't impressed with it then either. Not as good as some of our favorite Chinese buffets.

However, unless something is really horrific, we will go back again a time or two to check things out, in the case that things were just not up to full swing during that particular visit. Needless to say, after having tried this place about 3-4 times since mid/late 2000's, we WON'T be...

From New York, So Honest - Ok first got to the where the uncooked food is and get you 2 eggs and noodles , follow down get your veggies and what you want the chicken and beef at the end now walk up to the fruit table and get some pineapple if you want i like it....now walk to the back where the grill is and watch the cook grill your food i tell him what sauces i want and have him cook little longer i am from the North and like it the way i do...Ok take note of the ice cream and cones at the end for desert...now walk back to my table but i get some steam rice and fired rice ...i eat that not to bad now i like to get mashed patatoes and gravy a couple slices of pizza now i like some Sweet and Sour chicken with my selection...i go to table eat this but i have to have some Soup so i choose from 4 selection and getting little full most of you southerns are full already ,,, to bad i am just taking a break so much more to try Okay Let Me Get Some Jello And Pudding Like Chocolate And Vanilla and Fruits And More Pineapple and Peaches and Oranges And Plates Full So Back To Table, -after i am full ready for a knap time to wake up with some ice cream but i use a soup bowl or for 1 scoop a cone maybe 2 scoops... THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. My Family and I have been regular customers coming to this location for over 14 years. The food quality has never been consistent but we kept coming back that stops today. I have several environmental allergies and get weekly treatment. While we had not been there very long maybe 15 minutes another family was seated next to us I could feel my eyes and throat starting to react to the perfumes they were wearing. I immediately went to the Hostess and explained my situation. She wanted to move me just a couple tables away from the other family. I told her I didn't think that would be far enough away. She then stated that she didn't want to change servers . When she said that I honestly did not listen to anything else she tried to say . I grabbed my purse and told my family I had to get outside. I can understand all the updates to some policies like food waste and time limits but My husband paid full price for a meal that I was not able to finish because they aren't concerned enough about ensuring the health and safety of their Customers. I have had to move tables in the past at other restaurants and have never had issues even when they were busy .
