I recently dined at Ocho Rios Jamaican Restaurant in Clermont, FL, and it was a culinary experience I won't soon forget. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the warm, inviting atmosphere and the tantalizing aroma of authentic Jamaican cuisine. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home.
I decided to try the jerk chicken and curry goat, and both dishes were absolutely outstanding. The jerk chicken was perfectly cooked, with a smoky, spicy flavor that had just the right amount of kick. The meat was tender and juicy, and the spices were balanced beautifully, creating an explosion of flavors with every bite.
The curry goat was equally impressive. The rich, savory curry sauce was seasoned to perfection, and the goat meat was incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth. The blend of spices and herbs used in the curry was exceptional, delivering an authentic taste that transported me straight to Jamaica.
Both dishes were served with traditional sides like rice and peas and plantains, which complemented the main courses perfectly. The portions were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant both satisfied and eager to return.
Overall, my experience at Ocho Rios Jamaican Restaurant was fantastic. The delicious food, combined with the welcoming atmosphere and excellent service, made for an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re in Clermont and looking for a taste of authentic Jamaican cuisine, Ocho Rios is the place to go. I highly recommend trying their jerk chicken and curry goat – you won’t be...
Read more1st time here and I was hesitant to order because the place never seems to have customers but I assumed that I just happen to drive by during times that it’s never busy. I ordered the large Brown Stew chicken. Normally I’m used to a Jamaican plate to come with the main meat, rice or rice & peas, mixed veggies (cabbage) and fried plantains. This plate was missing the fried plantains but did come with a very hard dinner roll. When I order my plate I requested extra gravy on my rice and once I receive my plate I noticed that the gravy amount seemed the bare minimum so I asked for more. The cook stuck her head through the window and said there is enough gravy on there. double take So based on my stare the cook quickly offered to give me more in a container. I declined. Once I got home I dug into my plate and was not impressed. Seasoning is missing from the veggies and the stew chicken. Had I had more gravy on my rice then maybe that would’ve helped out on the seasoning but it did not. The portion of the chicken was nice, but the chicken itself was very tough. Considering that the parts are legs and thighs I found this very disappointing. Will I try this place again? I doubt it but not...
Read moreI went there two Friday nights ago because I had to have the Brown Stew Snapper Dinner. I waited all day, declining offers to go to a big change restaurant. My wait was satisfied by the warm welcome of the owners, the down to earth atmosphere and to top that off, my most delicious Brown Stew Snapper dinner with a Pineapple- Ginger drink. I'm a lady who was brought up with the best foods served at home, who have been blessed to experience good food from across the world. I have been to hole-in-the wall, Mom and Pop types to the high end restaurants in New York, California, D.C., Northern Va. and South Florida but there are times when you just have to have the best of the best foods....my Jamaican food. I appreciate the warm welcome and great service of the owners and their son (even though it was near closing time), we were never rushed to have our meals which we totally enjoyed. I have been recommending your awesome restaurant to...
