Arrived at 12:54 the location opens at 1. That was great because it gave my party of 3 time to decide what we wanted. There was one car in the drive thru and then us at the walk up. We had finished deciding by 12:58 so then we just waited for them to open the window. We ordered 1st asking for a choco taco to which they were out of at opening…then we ordered our 3 items and went to sit down. Another family of 3 was walking up… they ordered and after a few mins the window opens with their cone. So I go near window assuming some of mine is coming… man working brings wrong order to window (got wrong ice cream/topping combo) so I tell him and he starts over, the woman working is making the other families bc she started making theirs since the man took both of our orders… she has now given them their 2nd item we havent even gotten 1…its 1:11… he brings me 1 of ours and she immediately brings the other family their last item. They all sit down and eat together, my son is eating his only, my daughter and I are waiting with me at window… he brings an item and has done it wrong again… he has used choc ice cream and is now out of choc so my banana split has no choc since the other families cone and my sons order plus the messed up one has ran them out of choc ice cream again at opening. He asks me if I want dbl vanilla or strawberry, no apologies… now I'm still waiting for my other 2. I get my daughters, my son is almost done, they still haven't made mine the woman isn't helping with that shes just stocking… so I wait its now 1:18 and I finally get mine. I mention that she should not work on the 2nd order it should have been ours and his response was “I got ya” and I said bc that family have all enjoyed and ate together ( which still could’ve happened had they made ours and we could’ve ate together and then they made theirs and they could’ve ate together) and we are eating separately and he again said “I got you” and I said no apology or anything and he said very defensively “yeah Im sorry!” And I said well u haven’t once said that, u just keep saying I got you. His name was Jose and hers Riley. They are truly the dream team heavy on...
Read moreUpdate: Haven't been to this Twistee Treat since my last visit probably over a year ago which is detailed below. Today we went through the drive thru and were rushed through the drive thru. We placed an order for a blue slushy and were trying to find out what ice cream to order. The young lady, Ilana, kept rushing us as if there were a line of cars behind us. In fact we were the only car in the drive thru with no one else at the window. When we pulled up to the window, Ilana was shaking her head as if we took too long for her liking which in reality was about 1 min from the time we pulled up, placed the order and went to the window to pay. I ordered a large butter pecan icecream in a cup with pecan candy's. The cup was only filled a quarter of the cup, more like a medium and the slushy was watery as if it was not ready to be served. For the price I expect to at least be served what I paid for and there was no reason for an attitude. Will not patronize this location again.
This is usually my go to Twisty Treat in Clermont. Order ice-cream for kids and family and a slushy for my son who has a dairy allergy. For some reason he was given a slushy with vanilla ice-cream when I didn't order the freeze option. He ended up having a reaction, hives on his face, lip began to swell. Luckily we carry with Benadryl and gave him a full dose with water. He began to calm down and we told the server what happened. We ended up having to pay for a plain slushy, what we ordered in the first place. To top it off my son took a sip of the new slushy but was scared to have any since his stomach was hurting and throat was still itchy. Very disappointed with the lack of concern from the mistake the employees made. People die from these type of...
Read moreI recently visited Twistee Treat in Clermont, located conveniently by Kings Ridge, and it was an absolute delight. The main purpose of my visit was to spend some quality time with my son after a notary signing where he was my witness, and this charming ice cream spot provided the perfect setting for it.
My son chose the vanilla sprinkle-covered soft serve, which was not only visually appealing but also delicious. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful, with the perfect balance of sweetness that brought smiles all around.
The employees at Twistee Treat deserve a special mention. They were genuinely nice and welcoming, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Their friendly service made us feel at home and contributed to the memorable moments I shared with my son.
