Painted within the chain of Central Florida lakes, is its third largest, named after a deep-red citrus fruit called, "Minneola." Sitting just a block away from this historic lake is a new addition. A brewery and restaurant which has artfully created its first IPA of essences from the very area in which it sits.

This brewery, appropriately called, "Suncreek," is what you would want from an area that embraces its fruit packing roots on tomatoes, oranges and the railroad that would bring them to nearby distribution centers. The brewery enfolds elements of innovations and modernism into the building's aesthetics which resembles a 1930's work environment for an American Fruit Company. You would almost expect to see stacked wooden fruit crates drenched in sweat, the kind that made this city a bustling agribusiness hub. The brewery's interiors are not afraid to show off its steel beam bones, the stucco between the concrete walls and occasional scars of its floors. It's raw and it's warranted. While built new, it has not withdrawn from the pulse of its past.

I tried Suncreek's only current brew which for now, is made at an offsite location. Like a new acquitance introducing themselves, this first IPA is interesting and well-balanced. The IPA is swollen with a flavor but not like many of the over-embellished, over-hoppy IPAs in the market today. I'm happy the master brewer put some time thought into its creation. It smells humble with clear citrus aromas and is displayed to the palette with comforting bites of citrus finishing with a lingering taste of honey. It may be the deal ambassador of beer to not only the brewery, but to Clermont.

What is strange about this place? Eye contact. Couples left and right and discussing, planning, thinking, aspiring and strengthening relationships on this late Friday afternoon. No one seems to be in a rush. It's not an afterwork crowd like you would see in downtown Orlando or uptown New York. Instead they are engaged, leaning thoughtfully forward or back in their chairs soaking in the good conversation. It's nice to be able to hold a conversation without overbearing music or 12 different televised sporting events. There is a time and place for that and while Suncreek could accommodate for a big game, it's not its intention.

Something is happening here. I see children coming in from Swim team, dance and other after school activities. I see Moms, Dads, grandparents, older and young couples alike, business partners, aspiring business partners. The staff seems engaged in few conversations and I do worry in their ability to circulate to everyone in a timely manner but they have done fine with me and my friend.

I didn't get the pizza next door but made a note to bring my wife here as a date night. It smelled great. Clearly, this is the place for all of Clermont and the future of this great city. It may just represent what we were hoping for in...

This was our 1st time here, although we have driven by a few times. It's located right behind old downtown Clermont. We are not beer drinkers so the Suncreek Beer brewery is wasted on us. But we were interested in the couple of restaurants in this recently opened little Mini mall. It's a nice little spot, much smaller than the Plant Street brewery Mall in Winter Garden. But this one also has Savoree and Michael's Coal Fired Pizza and will soon have a Mac'd Out mac & cheese. The layout doesn't allow for a lot of seating indoors but there is plenty of seating outside as well, much of it is covered. We got sandwiches from Savoree which were just great, lots of variety. And very interesting combinations all in a sandwich. I had a salmon, mango, edamame wrap. Very tasty. My wife had a tuna, spinach & cheese sandwich. While we may not be beer drinkers many of our friends are so we will definitely be back to the brewery as well as to the restaurants it's. It's a nice little spot right...

My wife and I were vacationing in the Orlando area after Thanksgiving 2019 and were looking for a place to catch up with some friends who live nearby. Although I read reviews online, I still wasn't sure what to expect...so I called up and John gave me the lowdown. When we arrived that mid-week evening, there was ample room and the beer selections were plentiful. A few minutes after we arrived, it was easy to pick out John. HIs passion for the business is obvious and his enthusiasm is genuine. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. My wife and I had a Greek salad from one food vendor and each had a calzone from a second vendor. There was a third vendor that specializes in mac & cheese, but we didn't try them. The salad was fresh and large enough for the two of us to split. The calzones were yummy and the biggest I've ever had. Prices for food and drink were in line with what I find at similar businesses. Suncreek Brewery was a great find that I we look forward to...

This is an absolute gem of a place in a great little town within short driving distance of the Disney parks. We found Clermont by chance, and then found Suncreek Brewery on our walk around town. This is everything a great local craft brewery should be! The brewery is fully visible so you can see the beer is authentically made on-site, and the taproom area links through to a pizza place and a cafe. The taproom area itself is large and well laid out, with the bar being the focal point, complimented by screens playing a variety of sport. The outside terrace is excellent for soaking up some sun while enjoying a beer or two. Speaking of beer, the beer available here is excellent. We had the New England IPA and the Russian Imperial Stout, and both were great. It was busy and had a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This place is 100% recommended. I wish I had a place like this close to where I live!
