Roasted Spirit — Restaurant in Clermont

Our first and last time for sure. We were still scanning the QR code and our waitress asked what we wanted so I asked for few minutes to look over the menu!! She looked at her watch like she was in a hurry or she had to be somewhere. Mind you the place was dead on early Saturday afternoon. She brought my beer in the can no cup no glass and she didn’t event bother to ask if I would like one. Who drinks beer out of a can in a bar??? We also ordered the IPA Steak flatbread. This thing was a joke. It was nothing but a piece of bread and barely any toppings. Drizzled with regular mayonnaise what was supposed to be roasted garlic aioli. Maybe 4 tiny pieces of steak and maybe 3 half cherry tomatoes and the shaved red onions were not existing. If you are charging high prices at least give people something decent and good service. We didn’t even finish our drinks and we left for another place. RESPOND TO THE OWNER: Yes I’m very well aware of hurricane Milton and the massive power outage since I live less than 10 minutes away from your establishment, but it’s very pity for you to use the hurricane as an excuse for the poor service and garbage food we received at your bar!! My review was posted yesterday Saturday, October 13th in the morning and so was your response. If you had payed attention I did mentioned we came to the bar at a Saturday early afternoon. So common sense that it wasn’t yesterday, the first Saturday after the hurricane Milton!! The experience was from 2 weeks prior. Roasted and not Spirited! Went to a spirits bar which lacked spirits in a couple ways. Ordered a bourbon off their long list of selections. Wife got her cocktail and politely waited on starting her drink until I got mine. After five minutes or more heard one of the two bartenders just state they were out of the bourbon I asked for and they continued to serve the rest of the standing customers who came in after me. I then ordered another bourbon only to wait a long time again for them to state that they were out of that bourbon too (!) while my wife waited more than 10 minutes so we could cheers to a Happy Father’s Day…. They then just chose a drink for me that I did not ask for in some half way effort to appease me and hope I went away. I then explained to the server who tried her best on the poor business practice it was to simply blow off half an order to serve other customers without completing an order they had before other customers walked up to a bar, and not have two bourbons (Rabbit hole and Piggyback) on a Fathers Day weekend and not communicating well with their co-worker the server. Planned to stay for a bit until this experience and they comped my drink but left out of principle. My new favorite whiskey bar! I moved to the area 3 years ago and in order to find a decent selection of whisk(e)y I would need to travel to Orlando. Now with Roasted Spirit in Downtown Clermont there is no need to travel far! Roasted Spirit has a HUGE selection of whiskey and tequilas (in addition to some vodka, gins and wines) and delicious small bites and craft cocktails. The bartenders are knowledgeable on their selections which I appreciate as I like to learn more about whiskey prior to ordering especially if it is something I haven't had previously. We ended up ordering Old Fashions, small bites, and a neat pour of the Old Rip Van Winkle. I wouldn't hesitate to stop by soon. My only feedback is that the menu of whiskeys doesn't have pricing which seems common for some bars but the bartenders didn't mind asking about multiple whiskey prices when I asked.

Editing: while this bar located right in Central Florida has an amazing selection of whiskeys, one of the staff members was confrontational when we said we were being charged for a different whiskey that we didn't order and said "you did but I'll take care of it".
