We got there at 8:45 pm last evening. There were a few people in line and a party who got there around the same time as us, then another paty after us. Our server started our service. I requested a single scoop coffee ice cream on a plain waffle cone for my hubby which was served to us by our server. (Side note: I don't usually order coffee so I had asked our server for a sample while my daughter gave my hubby his icecream as he was sitting). She gave it to me then started making the milkshake that my son requested. Another server came to assist our party after serving her previous party. I requested from her the same exact thing that I had gotten for my hubby a few minutes before, only for her to tell me that I couldn't get another single scoop coffee icecream on a waffle cone or a cake cone because they put up the waffle cones 20 minutes before closing. Mind you, my hubby had just gotten one from our original server. When I asked why is that, she proceeded to give me an attitude. I told her that I didn't understand how they can put up the plain cones 20 minutes before closing. After giving attitude, she reluctantly went to the bowl and got the waffle cone and came back to serve me seemingly annoyed. This young lady pulled up probably half a scoop of icecream and put it on top of the cone and then asked me, "is this enough." How unprofessional is that? I ordered a single scoop icecream and was not buying it by the weight, so a single scoop icecream size should be a standard size across-the-board. I accepted it from her even though I knew that she was being rude and trying to be funny. The other patron behind us a got a waffle cone with the correct serving size which was the same size that my hubby got from our original server. I didn't argue or say a word, we just paid our bill and left. Very unprofessional behavior!! This is not my first visit to Yummis as my baby dances next door and like to get treats sometimes after dance, but this is likely the last time that I patronize this establishment as...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place & support a local business. But... they don't provide sample cups since Covid. While I completely understand the concern for germs & being aware, no one is gonna get Covid from sampling yogurt (esp if u hand out a few sample cups so not everyone can touch them all). Different brands of yogurt taste different, and they're not all that good. One's taste buds can even change from day to day, so the same flavor can taste different from one day to the next. They also had a few ice cream flavors listed on the windows, but no corresponding tub was present. Covid isn't gonna jump from the sample cup to dispenser... Sorry, I won't be back here. Edited today, I've read other reviews. If u were so concerned about Covid, why did u make masks optional (even your employees weren't wearing them) back in September when Covid was rampant? People were more at risk spreading & getting Covid when u didn't wear or require masks to enter, not from using a...
Read moreWe went in about 9:15. The Hot fudge machine was already shut down for the night. My husband and I split 2 scoops and went very light on toppings, but it was still over $11 for a medium cup. They ask for a tip on the screen, but it really is self service so not sure what the tips are for. As someone mentioned, there are teenagers working there who do not appear happy to be there. I regret leaving a tip. In the end, too pricey with having to weigh it. Would be better to just charge a flat rate depending on the size and include two toppings. Then charge extra if people want additional toppings. We were surprised at the end with the cost, but you don’t realize it is over priced until you have to pay. Probably...
