I have watched Cosa Nostra move from a small food booth down the street to a truly incredible looking store front on the corner of downtown Clermont. I had not stopped to try them until today and unfortunately I was a little disappointed. When they opened up the new location, they installed digital screens that show a rotation of their sandwiches and flatbreads and in the pictures they look so good and so hearty. So I was excited to try an “authentic Italian” deli sandwich. So we purchased two, a pastrami 1 and a prosciutto di Parma 2. We also ordered the blue cheese and honey chips. When I opened the container I was really surprised at just how little meat they put on our sandwiches. I love pastrami and I was so disappointed to see such a small amount. I get a pastrami Reuben right down the street and it’s LOADED with pastrami and it’s a couple dollars cheaper than this one. The ingredients are really high quality and they did an incredible job with the store. I can see why people like to go but I have much higher expectations than what I got for $47 after a tip. I highly doubt that I will return because of value versus enjoyment. It’s a really great deli and I hope they do well because it is nice to see this kind of business do well. And clearly by the other reviews people love it. But ultimately it’s not my cup of tea. It was only okay. Also, on a side note, I know the place is small but I witnessed a kitchen staff person bag up trash and literally lift the bag up and over the counter where the food is served and he carried it through the dining area to the rear door. He was even holding another loose piece of trash that couldn’t fit inside the bag. It wasn’t like food was falling out of the bag or anything but it is a HUGE turn off for me to see any establishment carrying trash through the dining area. Recently, they’ve added soups to their menu, and I’ve had the chance to try the Tomato Soup and the Sausage and Kale Soup. Both were incredible! The tomato soup was rich, comforting, and bursting with flavor, while the sausage and kale soup was hearty, well-seasoned, and perfect for a cozy meal.

On top of the incredible food, the atmosphere is so welcoming. They always make me feel like I’m right at home, treating every customer like family.
