The Bell could be any local corner pub in the UK. You order from the bar and pick up your drinks there, lending more to a gathering place than a sit-down-at-the-bar-and-hang-out-all-day vibe. They have a small limited menu for food, featuring the typical British Ploughman's lunch, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, beans on toast, etc.

We stopped in on a Wednesday around 2pm and were shocked to find people at almost every table. That's a good sign, just like a local pub to have patrons stopping by mid-day.

Inside, they have a dart board (bring your own), 6 high top tables, and lots of quaint sitting areas with comfortable chairs. Tons of wall decor and cheery music to transport you across the pond and forget that the rain outside is warm, rather than cold, like it is in England.

The only drawback we could think of was that they close pretty early (8-9pm), but Clermont is a family-oriented early-hours type of place-- not a 2am bar type of town, so this really shouldn't be an issue. It might be nice to stay open till 10pm or so on the weekends, but that decision might depend on how busy they are on any given night.

Overall, pretty pleased to see such a place open up in downtown Clermont. Hope...

We were excited to try the bell. A pub from the people behind the Clermont fish house? Sign me up. Shortly after we sat at a table, a woman came over and took our drink orders, returning a few minutes later and dropping off the drinks. 10 minutes after that we started looking around, wondering if she would come back for a food order. At that point the bartender came over to our table and scolded my wife, who was literally just sitting there chatting, telling her she needed to figure out how a pub worked, and stop looking disgusted, and order at the bar, while pointing a finger in her face.

Having counter service is fine, and there are plenty of ways to pleasantly inform your customers if that is how your pub operates. This was not one of those ways. I've never written a negative review on Google before, but I've also never had a customer service experience this bad before, either. We...

My recent visit to The Bell Clermont was truly fantastic from start to finish. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly clean the entire establishment was—it really made for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The service was also lightning fast! Our food and drinks arrived in no time, which is a huge plus when you're looking for a quick and enjoyable meal. However, the real highlight of our visit was our server, Alicia. She was absolutely amazing! Alicia was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. She clearly takes pride in her work, and her great attitude elevated the whole experience. I highly recommend The Bell Clermont to anyone in the area. Between the clean environment, the super-fast service, and the exceptional staff like Alicia, it's easily one of the best pub experiences I've had. We will...

We had two pints of Guinness, and the scotch eggs and sausage bits. All of it was good food. The service was excellent, but the food is served with plastic utensils and on paper containers. It was hard to share that way, and the sauces came in small cups that made it hard to dip the food in. A small adjustment in serving on plates and silverware will make a huge difference in the food enjoyment. They have a dartboard and a TV that will be tuned to football on Premiership game days and tournaments I presume. They will have the ESP v ENG game tomorrow, expected to be packed. A welcome addition to downtown Clermont.

While out exploring, we stumbled across this terrific new British Pub where we rode out an afternoon downpour. It offers a great beer selection, hearty British pub grub and a welcoming environment. One of the owners (Steve) shared the name comes from a pub that was the center of his town in Norwich, England where he grew up. He said that pub recently closed and he was able to obtain the original sign and bell from its namesake which now adorn the bar here in Clemont. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
