Ball Ball Waffle — Restaurant in Cleveland

I finally had the chance to stop by Ball Ball Waffle while the Chinese New Year festival was happening. I definitely plan to return to dine in another time because it was so busy but even then the experience was still pretty good. Staff were kind despite being absolutely slammed with customers.

The waffles we got were cookie dough and say cheese with bacon and I'd definitely order those two again, but there are so many options that look appealing. It's doubtful they will be revisited given the range of options available. The say bacon with cheese waffle was savory and very snack like - it was definitely enjoyable and the dip was a little spicy. The cookie dough waffle with condensed milk was delicious/definitely a great dessert.

This was my last stop dessert place before heading back to NY. I am surprised I found a Hong Kong style dessert place. Couple years ago, I went to the same plaza and this place wasn't exist yet. I was glad I swung by the Chinatown the last day in Cleveland. Owners are very friendly. I ordered 2 types of waffle, Portuguese egg tart and milk tea. The Portuguese egg tart was amazing, fresh made and hot (temperature wise). It did burn my tongue. The tarts top can burn a little bit more. Waffles outside of sponge areas are crispy. This is exactly what I am looking for and similar taste when I was in Hong Kong. For the Milk Tea, I felt there is a room for improvement. A little bit of watery taste. Maybe not enough evaporated milk. Overall, I love this...

Such a hidden gem! Atmosphere and decor is very welcoming along with everyone behind the counter. They were very patient with us while it was our first time, and walked us through the options and sizes of everything. We ended up going with one original with banana and one chocolate with peanut butter cups. Both were drizzled with chocolate syrup and powdered sugar before being handed to us. We added a scoop of strawberry ice cream to them and it was the right choice, as they both tasted amazing. Very reasonably priced as well as quick service made the experience even more enjoyable.
