Cleveland State University is a middle-class university. It is fine but needs lots of improvements especially security-wise.
The security cameras are not activated anywhere in the university, not in or between the buildings and the security personals are not attentive. Because of that many robberies happened within the campus. Here are two incidents that I am aware of: A few weeks ago a group of kids between about 10 and 15-year old stool one of the student-center commercial stores, a locked one. Within the same month in the MC-main classroom-building, an armed(a gun)robbery occurred.
The student center building(SC) is where the CSU dining and some commercial stores and restaurants are located. The building is expected to be loud to extremely loud, even when it is almost empty you will hear those inconsiderate people shouting out.

Read moreThis use to be a place all students could hang out. People could find food in a number of places and convene in front of large windows that let in tons of light. There were fantastic views for people and traffic watching as well as a beautiful church. The location was ideal for many people all across colleges to mingle and work together. I had met many an interesting person here and gotten to know the different facets of my college. That's not the case anymore. As of fall 2023 Cleveland State decided money was more important than community. The best area to hang out has been blocked for only students with meal plans. This means commuting students can't hang out in the most ideal areas. It means a large chunk of the student population are left out. While there still is several options for these students to find food and get together, I can't help but see this as a step backward rather...

It houses important offices of school officials on the third floor, as well as a conference room and outdoor sitting area. The second floor is mainly food and catwalks for the walking connection of the school. The first floor has an information desk and a Chili's, which is a solid choice for a quick beer. The courtyard is nice and often hosts events when the...
