I had the unfortunate adventure of ordering from them off Uber Eats. I haven't used the app since my first orders during Covid. No idea really that you order, get your items how ordered and have a good night.
I made my order for 2 of the catfish deals and oysters. I get a call from a young lady saying they didn't have the oysters. I asked could she just add shrimp instead. That part was for my husband anyway. She says no. That she'll cancel the order and that I'll need to reorder from Uber Eats. I go back to my app put in for the fish deal again and since he wanted the shrimp instead I did that. My allergy warning has been put in so I wasn't expecting to have hushpuppies in my meal, but they were. I got to only eat the fish. The tiny slivers that look nothing like the picture. That was my meal. $50 and that's what I got. Husband had the other fish and the shrimp. The driver called for the pin and I gave it to him. What an idiot I am.
It was late so I called them the next day to see if the order was actually cancelled. That young woman says that it should have been done through the app, but the manager would be back today to help me. She was not nice and very blunt that she wasnt helping me. More idiot me. The night before when I thought she cancelled it, I rated my meal not paying attention that it was the first meal marked delivered. After the driver called for the pin, I wasn't sure why it was asking me again, so again I did it. He gets 2 tips, the fish place gets paid twice and Uber eats gets paid twice. My husband has 10 shrimp, the smaller fish shrivels and that's $100. No one will give me any back. Not even the restaurant knowing they got paid twice. They could at least pay me back for that girls mistake. Uber Eats gave me a refund of the drink to make up for me throwing out my food. Why would anyone leave a new employee in charge who started the whole problem? Not only will I never order anything off that app again, I'll never order from them again. I just wanted the price of the food back. Didn't even care about the driver cheating me out of a double tip, or Uber eats turning a $24 meal twice into close to $50 each. $100 for the night and I got a tiny part of a meal.
Had I eaten the fries with the wheat touching them or the hushpuppies made with the wheat I would be in some sad shape. Thank my God I am smart enough to double check. Be very very careful doing things you aren't familiar with and expecting anyone to help.
I live on an extremely tight budget. We don't hardly ever eat something I don't cook. A treat so I didn't have to cook on a very unbearable day cost me much more. I should have just had a sandwich. I've never eaten there before, and I'll never do it again. They must have such a mediocre reputation that this isn't going to hurt their far from...
Read moreWe had seen Fish Tales several times while we were leaving Tractor Supply, but had never had time to stop to eat there. Today was the day. Our pleasant experience started with the sweet lady behind the counter. We were really hungry, so we ordered fried mushrooms and fried green tomatoes. He got the seafood platter to try a good variety, and I got just fried catfish. We just mentioned that this cool weather would have been a nice day to try the gumbo. The sweet lady offered a sample of our choice of seafood gumbo, chicken and sausage gumbo, or crawfish etouffee. So glad we chose the etouffee! We are from Louisiana, so when I say we found it outstanding, trust me. The apps came next, with a smile "something tells me you will be taking a box or two home." Both were so hot and fresh and light, cooked to perfection. We barely made a dent in them when our entrees arrived. Oh my..... I spotted the fries first: fresh and hand cut--just the way they should be, and lots of them! Before I could try my fish, he gave me one of his oysters. Mama!! Soooooo fresh and cooked just right. Then a shrimp... same! It's so very important not to overcook seafood, and they get it. I finally broke open a piece of my fish. Holy mother of catfish! Light, fresh, and delicious. Every mouthful was heavenly. Their sauces were perfect compliments to the seafood. And are you ready? We ended up taking home THREE containers of food to enjoy again. We are already planning our next trip to Fish Tales. Unbelievably good...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We were just in and ordered the daily special- 3 blackened chicken strips. The chicken was so rubbery on the first piece, I didn't even try to finish it. The second piece was better until about half way through. My first bite on the third piece made me gag, I immediately spit it out into my napkin, along side the other pieces. When I told the young girl at the desk, she to ok my basket to the cook, napkins with spat out chicken in them, and he sent the waitress back saying he would re make it. When I asked for something different, fried catfish, he said that he would only make me one piece since I ate the other two, which clearly I DID NOT!! Before I could even say anything, the other woman at my table said, "The other pieces of chicken are in the napkin". I said forget it, give me a refund. The cook not one time came out to talk to me himself, nor try to correct the problem. Instead, I was refunded my money and handed my receipt, NO COMMUNICATION WHAT SO EVER. Not one time did I get an "I am sorry...What can we do to fix this?..." That to me is unacceptable. Might I add, this was my first time to ever eat there, and I will not be going back nor will I ever recommend anyone to eat here. If this is how Fish Tales-Cleveland is going to treat their customers, business will decrease dramatically! Tried sending an email to the email provided on their website, to my surprise, it doesn't work...what a...
