I am updating my original review. We went back to give Javi's a second chance. The food was delicious and they got our order almost correct. They forgot to put the guacamole on my wife's dinner, after alerting the server he immediately brought it to the table. The music from the Lattas Duo was an added bonus to the evening. The only criticism was the server never asked if we wanted anything else, he just dropped the check off as he walked by. I had to get his attention to order dessert. Again he dropped off the check before I could order some drinks and beer. It would be nice to ask if you need or want anything else before dropping the check off as you walk by. We will definitely go back again to eat and listen to the Lattas.
Original: I knew we were in trouble when there was a language divide trying to order our dinner. I ordered the enchiladas supreme which states on the menu 4, one beef, one bean, one cheese and one chicken and then the server asked if I wanted pork enchiladas?? I told her I wanted what was listed right on the menu and no sour cream on my dinner. My wife asked to add sour cream and guacamole to her entree listed as a $1.00 for each item right on the menu. When the bill was presented it had sour cream $3.00 and guacamole $4.25. I told them it was supposed to be $2.00 total add not $7.25 , they proceeded to show me the side item portion of the menu, I showed them the add to your dinner line. They finally adjusted the bill but charged $2.00 for the guacamole and a $1.00 for the sour cream but with a rotten attitude...will not be going back. The food was lack luster at best. We had to ask three times for a cup of decaf coffee and never...
Read moreThe staff requires you to speak English even though their English is In need of improvement but this is a good thing they are attempting and with great effort striving to communicate with us in our language rather than their native Spanish. As a customer service tactic this is very effective. We do after all speak English in this country. The food was the best Mexican I have tasted since I was in the mountains in Mexico. Everything was authentic they offer a salsa with your chips that is completely homemade as well as one that comes from a jar both are extremely tasty but the homemade 1 was low sodium which I value highly. They have updated their decore to what I would call an extremely high class Mexican restaurantof course with carved wooden plaques that are well decorated and other esthetic touches that you only see in the high class Mexican restaurants. In addition they even have a serving robot that plays music as it delivers the food to your table. When you compliment this with their full bar you can't help but be impressed. I normally ask for a military discount but their prices were what I would consider low in a Biden presidential era and frankly I would rather support this restadraunt then save 10%. Regarding menu choices they're South of the border chicken was absolutely delicious and They served an ample portion so that I didn't even want to have dinner afterward. I absolutely recommend this restaurant over any other in...
Read moreWe stopped in for dinner after our grandsons soccer practice just a few minutes before 8pm. Service was indifferent and unpleasant. My grandson and I ordered sweet tea to drink and my husband had a beer. Server returned with one large tea that tasted like water and said there was no more tea. We don’t drink carbonated drinks so I gave my grandson the tea and ordered a water. Server returned with another sweet tea. We ordered our food and it came quickly. My burrito and enchilada were ice cold inside, like they just came out of refrigerator. I ordered a chili relleno and my husband had a poblano, both had pepper pieces the size of a quarter covered with a pile of meat and cheese. When my husband saw the piece of pepper, he was done. He didn’t eat another bite. I brought home my burrito and enchilada to heat in the oven and see if they tasted any better hot. Without question the worst Mexican food I have ever been served in my life, and the smallest portions. Burrito and taco made with the smallest flour tortillas you can buy. We will definitely...
