This is the worst Jimmy John's I've ever been to. Consistently bad customer service. Don't order delivery from them, because if you even receive the correct order, it's likely going to come to you after a ridiculously long wait.
I recently placed an order in which the drink was not delivered (after a long wait). I called, and they asked me if I still wanted it, and I apologetically said yes, so they told me the delivery driver would prioritize it first on his next delivery run (which I was led to believe would be soon). About 45 minutes later (about two hours after the initial confirmation of the delivery order), I still hadn't received it, and at that point I was worried that the drink would be watered down anyway, so I called the store to just cancel it.
They didn't answer, so I kept calling, and about ten minutes later they answered. I explained the situation and told them I didn't want the drink anymore. They assured me that the drink was out for delivery, but they had three deliveries before mine (that's not what I had been initially told--I was supposed to be first, and I'm only five minutes away from the store). I was having a stressful workday and had to be somewhere that evening, so I was just trying to treat myself to delivery, to take one thing off my plate. Anyway, I told them I'd still like to cancel the drink, as at this point it has been about two hours since I ordered it.
This is not the first time a certain menu item wasn't delivered to me (or was made incorrectly), and most other times I've just eaten the cost, because it's a few dollars, and a headache to deal with. But they keep doing this, and they just get away with it, so they aren't trying to do better. So I decided I was going to get this refund.
After I asked for a refund, the guy on the phone said, "Ok." Then he set the phone down, and I heard store background noises, but he never returned. With the phone call still connected, I made myself presentable, got in my car, and drove to the store.
When I got there, there were two customers in the store and three workers. Two guys were chatting while one of them made a sandwich and the other just stood there. Another guy, the guy who had answered the phone, was working at the counter. I looked over and saw the phone just sitting on the counter off the hook--the phone call that I was still connected to. This was 12 minutes after the call first connected. No one ever returned to it, even though at least one guy was just standing around doing nothing.
I explained to the guy at the counter that I was the person on the phone, and I just wanted a refund. The guy who was making sandwiches seemed to be in charge, and he eventually came up to me and tried to explain to me that the drink was still out for delivery. I told him that it had been two hours since I'd ordered it and I didn't want it anymore. He then went into an explanation that they were busy and it was just him working, that the two other guys there had just gotten there.
A few things about this: the person I spoke to the first time I called, when I had initially indicated the that the drink hadn't been delivered, was a female, so I know at least at that time, there were other workers. Then also, I knew that the person I had spoken to 12 minutes prior was one of the guys I had been told had just arrived. But none of this was relevant, because all I wanted at this point was my money back (and also, not to be treated like I didn't matter). I told him I understood, but I just didn't want the drink anymore and wanted a refund. He continued to argue that the drink was already on its way to me, and continued to blame short staffing on the issue. I finally had to cut him off and say, "I understand that, and I'm sorry, but that's not my fault. I no longer want the drink, and I just want my money back." He said okay and opened the cash register and said that the drink was 2-something, but that he was just going to give me $3. I said thank you and left.
I'm just going to stop trying with this store. Shame, because I love...
Read moreThis is the most disgusting, dirties Jimmy Johns I have ever been too. I placed an order online for a Tuna Sub and I modified it to remove tomatoes and add cheese. When I got to the restaurant, my order wasn't ready. Ok, no problem. The woman behind the counter then proceeds to pull a sub out of the refrigerator, removes the tomato and adds a slice of cheese. So now I know that my sub is not being made fresh. I thought to myself, they have to at least make the subs fresh daily. Right? WRONG! When I got home, I discovered the seeds from the tomato basically glued to the bun, tomato juice that made the top bun soggy and lettuce that was weltering. I was starving so I decided to look past this and at least try to enjoy my sandwich. Took the first bite and what do I discover? A FINGERNAIL! Not only do they not make your sub fresh, but they clearly aren't wearing gloves when preparing these subs either. I would call and complain but I know they will only offer me a replacement meal which I would refuse to take after having this experience. I have been here before and ordered other subs. The only complaint I ever had was the Jimmy Johns Sauce that they tax you for is always 1/2 full. I can deal with that. But subs that are not fresh that contain finger nails......
Read morePlaced an app order, waited an hour and a half for delivery, then was told on the app that the food had been successfully delivered to my address. I checked everywhere and it wasn’t there, so I called the store and asked if there’d been a mistake. The person on the phone immediately said they were going to void my order. I asked “So I’m not getting the food?” and all they said was “You still want it?” I said I guess not, and they basically just said “Yeah it’s been a really crazy day at the store so we’re just gonna cancel the order.” Then hung up on me. They never apologized and I of course never got any sort of refund, despite them saying twice that they’d void it for me. I had to call my bank and dispute the charge because I paid AND tipped for a sandwich that they clearly never intended to deliver in the first place. So I’m under the impression that they were too busy to make my food and deliver it, and just lied about doing so on the app to avoid any repercussions. I work in retail so I understand when things get crazy and overwhelming, however if you’re going to take someone’s money and not deliver a service, the least you can do is call a customer and tell them you can’t fulfill the order. I’ll be eating at...
