Mr. Hero — Restaurant in Cleveland

This is REALLY disappointing! I sent my boyfriend to get me a free meal with my free meal coupon… what a TERRIBLE experience this was! (Saturday 1/22/22 aprox 8:30PM-8:45PM). There was a woman and a man… the woman helped him at the counter, first she said that the coupon was for the Roman Burger meal only which the coupon SPECIFICALLY states ANY free meal, not just the Roman Burger meal. He had to argue the fact that the coupon clearly states any meal… to the point she had asked if he wanted to speak to the manager which he said yes (the man was the manager it seems)… he came over and agreed the coupon said ANY meal… he continues to order, asking for my original Italian meal with fries well done… asked for EXTRA dressing on the side which he was informed that it would cost $0.5 extra to get extra dressing… after agreeing to pay that she moves forward to not only fill the TINY container NOT EVEN half full with the dressing but doesn’t put ANY on the sandwich itself… THIS IS EXTRA DRESSING?! (SEE IMAGE!)… after watching her only drop the fries once, my boyfriend had restated he’d like the fries well done and crispy (which she had already acknowledged the first time and said that was okay)… she continues to say something along the lines “That would mean I’d have to put them in again”…. Are you serious!? That is what well done means! YES, DROP THEM AGAIN PLEASE. After receiving the food my boyfriend brings it home (only about a 2-3 minute drive from this mr hero).. I took out the fries and there was such a SMALL AMOUNT of fries it’s RIDICULOUS… THIS IS WHAT COMES WITH A REGULAR PAID FOR MEAL!? (SEE IMAGE)… literally counted them there was 9 FRIES… 9! I had asked my boyfriend to double check to make sure he didn’t eat any on his way home and he did not! After him telling me everything that happened and then seeing the fries I said “IM WRITING A REVIEW, THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS”. My boyfriend said he felt there was a very VERY negative attitude from the female worker since the second he informed her of the coupon… as if me getting a free meal was such a inconvenience for her and A PROBLEM, mind you I PAID for this coupon in the first place! There was absolutely no reason to treat a customer like this, my boyfriend didn’t deserve the terrible treatment/service, disrespect and disregard. I am very bothered by this situation and Mr. Hero, this will most likely shape my view of Mr. Hero in a VERY NEGATIVE...

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. But I suppose 1 Star will have to do for now. So first of all I haven’t been to a Mr Hero’s in like 6-7 years because I moved away from OH. But I decided to come here for a few weeks for my vacation and eat at one of my favorite restaurants which was ant Hero’s. But this was the closest one to where I was staying.

So when I got there I ordered 4 cheese steak sandwiches and 1 Roman. And I told them several times what order I wanted and they kept saying something else but finally they said they got the order that I said. So they made the sandwiches and put them in the bag and when I got home there was 4 romans and and 1 steak cheese sandwich. Along with the two fries I got. But the sandwiches were wrong.

So I called back and they kept acting like I wanted to place a new order when I said I was there already and they gave me the wrong order. And I had to call them twice because they didn’t understand what I was saying. Not only that but it was raining outside all day and it was a 10min drive back and forth.

So we wanted them to make new ones and we said we could hand them back the roman subs. And so they made 3 new cheese steaks. And we drove back there in the rain and then they put the old subs that we already opened on to the heating thing like they were going to re sell them to the customers. But we finally got our cheese steak subs. And they didn’t even offer us an extra sub or two to make up for my order that they messed up on. Not only that but the fries we had before were getting cold when we were calling them back and they didn’t even offer us new fries. So I had to eat those cold.

So I don’t recommend this place at all. Difficulty with communication at this place. And if they mess up your order. Then they won’t...

Just like the previous comments, another one bites the dust. I had been a customer since I moved here, and with the economy down, I picked up door dash as a side job. The manager/owner was extremely rude when picking up an order today. He sent confirmation to doordash that the order was ready, but did not start it until AFTER I arrived, which dashers get docked time for that. I asked him to please not do that anymore and he told me it wasn’t his problem. After waiting 10 minutes for the order, he tossed the bag to me and it ripped in process. The food hit the floor... he put it in a new bag and told me to get out of his store and not come back... I can live without Mr.Hero, and I can live without ever accepting another doordash order for this store. But as I can see from previous reviews, he’s losing customers left and right! And I don’t think a restaurant can “live”...
