I love supporting black own business but I also hold them to the same standard that I hold anyone that I am paying my hard, earned money to. On Wednesday, I had a taste for “Chicken Dirty Fries.” Yes, they are very unhealthy; however when cooked RIGHT they are also very delicious. I called in because my experience in the past is that it can take quite a while for an order to be ready. I always thought positively about this and said the reason was everything is cooked “FRESH.” When I called I was told it would be 25 minutes. I inquired if they still served the combo which is the Fries and a soda, and I was told yes. When I walked in I was told it would be another 3 minutes. In 3 minutes or less I was given my fries and my soda, paid my bill and swiftly left. That is where I made my first mistake, not checking the box. I got back to my job, pulled into my little place of relaxation to enjoy the last 7 minutes of my lunch and as I began to stir up the “Chicken Dirty Fries” I notice something utterly disturbing which is evidenced by the photo you see attached to this. EVERY one of those FRENCH FRIES was BURNT. Either they were cooked that way or they had been set in a warmer and because of that turned dark. I decided to taste them to see if they were at least fresh but cooked to long and I could immediately tell these fries most likely belonged to someone who never showed up.
I called and requested to speak with the manager. The person that took the call said he truly apologized and where was I located so they could deliver me another order. I gave him all my information; however something on that call let me know that I was probably not going to get my order; nonetheless, I’m still allowing a second chance to right this wrong. It is now 3:15 p.m. my lunch is over and I have not eaten all day, in addition to that I have to be at my second job by 5:45 p.m. and I don’t get off my day job until 5:00. At 5:00, as I’m leaving I called and now I’m speaking to a manager by the name of Andre and I asked him is their delivery driver still coming (being sarcastic). He stated, “Where you at Ma’am? Yes we are still coming. How long will you be there? Okay, enough is enough Andre. Do you really think that I am going to continue to wait here? I have been waiting for almost 2 hours for a corrected order. Andre said “Ma’am can you stop by now? I’ll take care of you, I’m so sorry for all of this and I will make it right for you.” I said I can’t come today. He said, “Well whenever you come tell them Andre said to give you whatever you want and it will be free.” So after all this I’m still riding with Muncheez and then the following happens. I called yesterday; spoke to Andre about honoring my free offer today. Andre immediately said “Absolutely call me when you are leaving your job and I will have it ready for you.” I specifically asked…Will I get another pop or will I need to purchase one. He said, “No ma’am, I got you, just come on up.” I arrived at Muncheez yesterday at 5:17 p.m. there was a young man sitting behind the counter, taking calls, which I now know was Andre. There was another person standing behind the counter packing bags with a very unpleasant look on his face as he was serving customers through the sound proof glass where you can only yell or speak to one another thru intercom. I saw Andre get up to put the soda in my bag but the other gentlemen told him to put it back, “She ain’t getting no pop.” So just maybe this conversation is regarding someone else so I’ll wait. long story short no food, no soda, and I will never patronize this place again. Read moreFirst of all I ordered a polish boy combo and a chicken Philly combo. I was told 12 minutes. After 30 minutes the conversation was they were out of bread. No one asked if I wanted something else or even wanted to wait for the bread. Needless to say I was really excited to eat here being from out of state trying the Cleveland food scene. I wasn't given my food till an hour later with it sitting on the grill "warming". The polish boy was dry and separated and my Philly was bland and for the wait for the bread it could have at least been toasted. The fries looked like they belonged on someone else's order the were not hot or seasoned as claimed. Trying to support a black business and this is the service you get. No apologies no kind of discount no care to even tell us there was an issue in the kitchen. None of them looked happy to be there and the flirting with customers prolonged our wait time....
Read moreFirst off you have to park on the road in front of the building there is no parking for the restaurant as it's connected to other buildings. My first impressions of the place were "this place looks sketchy," but the people inside were nice and it wasn't crowded. The food took 15 minutes to cook so they offered to call me when it was done, as there's no where to wait in the restaurant. When I did get my food (chicken Philly wrap and boneless wings) it was packaged with care and tasted great. If you consider eating here I'd recommend ordereding ahead of time and just going there when...
