I've seen ads for Primoz on Facebook lately - Meatless Monday looking to be the best so far - and the alternatives to the norms like gluten free options is nice to see. Having tried nearly all the places here in Lakewood, from Angelo's to Domino's, it was refreshing to maybe try something new. Seeing all the options were absolutely enticing.
Ordered a medium veggie pizza, I forget the specific name on the menu, and an order of cheesesticks with marinara sauce. $28 and change. Definitely stings a bit in the wallet, but if you've had good pie... you'd know it's worth it. So in the 10 minute trek home... Well let me back up.
The store itself didn't present the exact image of pristine; the lobby area in front is rather cramped as half of it is used as storage for boxes and menus, so if multiple people are waiting and employees need to get something not only is it a bit cramped to begin with, but then we all have to move around. Furthermore... the boxes are... out front. Seeing behind the counter everyone did look busy and I can't comment on the cleanliness there, but it looked average.
So back to the food. The pizza had a good amount of grease to it the first few slices had the cheese just slide off, but in the good way like it was still fresh. However, after a few minutes with the box open it didn't stop. Likewise, I didn't feel there was anything exceptional with the pizza; overall I don't think I would be able to pinpoint a slice from that pie out of a line up without being told who made what. The cheesesticks were rather good. However, the cold marinara sauce was disappointing. Sometimes pizza and the like can be better the next day. Sadly, did not seem to be the case.
Ultimately, for $28, I feel as if the product is priced to be in the same category as other pizza places who have phenomenal dishes, but I don't feel I got my full money's worth. May give it a few months...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered a small Mount Olympus, jalapeno poppers, french fries, and a 2 liter for delivery (on a Friday at 6 granted). At first, I placed my order with a woman who was obviously distracted or the phone was malfunctioning because she didn't get my whole order. At the end of my call with her she said "you have to spend at least $25 for a delivery on a Friday. That made sense. I said "Sure, add a 2ltr". After the call the math wasn't right so i called back and a different girl said the were no poppers on the order as i expected from the math. So I had her add the poppers. With the 7 dollar tip i left the final total was $40.00. The speed of service and the courtesy of the deliver driver is the only thing I'd give a compliment too. The pizza was not as good as I expected for the price. It was just feta, canned sundried tomatoes, spinach, and small cubes of dry chicken tossed on the dough with a thin layer of butter for sauce, which would be better with a creamier thicker sauce but was dry as it was. The jalapeno poppers are not jalapeno. They are green chili peppers. Chili peppers are the WORST pepper for large poppers that need to be bitten in half. Chili peppers have a tough skin so they don't break in half and everything comes right out on your first bite. The french fries seemed like they should be great, if I had dined-in. They were room temperature and soggy. Food arrived 30 minutes early, an hour...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered 15 wings Teriyaki flavored on 12/1/2023. Service was great. I like my wings fried hard. Basically crispy. I informed them of that not once but twice. Well there is no way my order was done as I asked. Those wings were super old and chewy. It was like the Christmas turkey from the Chevy Chase movie where his wife overcooked the turkey. It was like jerky. And I know those could have not been fresh at all. I order my wings from all over. BW3, Charlieās cheesesteak and also my favorite Winking Lizard. I even make my wings at home crispy. These were not crispy but old and chewy. Now either the chicken is bad or he just gave me some old wings somebody ordered and didnāt pick up. And I should have expected something because he stated that he gave me a few more than I ordered and also gave me extra..extra sauce. Of course to cover up the fact those wings tasted as if I was chewing on King Tuts legš and I was curious as to why the Parma location closed down. Well I know now. See people always open a business and start off so well and after a few years here comes the cut backs. I will never buy from them again and will always give negative feedback to anyone who questions me about this place. Of course I know my dollar means nothing to a place that makes so much money but thatās cool. Iāll keep it and spend...
