Wasabi Hibachi Restaurant E. 79th — Restaurant in Cleveland

The place is a dump and the young guy behind the counter was extremely rude. He never properly greeted me and his attitude was nasty. I ordered a beverage with my meal that I never received. This is a prime example of another asian establishment in a black community that then treat their paying customers as if they are doing us a favor by having a business in our communities. He literally snatched my card and walked away from the window. When my order was finished he pushed the bag in the window and said nothing. I asked him for my beverage. He began to argue with me about what he did not hear me say at the beginning of my order. I Asked several times for my beverage but he was more intent on arguing. I am writer and journalist for various media outlets and I will definitely be getting the word about the stigma between Asian and black culture in minority communities and this establishment will be the highlight of these publications. It is a shame because less than a mile away is Asia town/Mid-town and the relationship between Asians and Blacks in our diverse community is very positive. We are set on building bridges between the cultures. But this establishment is actually setting our community back. I will NEVER be back to this business and I will also being pushing for the health department to shut this hole in the wall down.

Thank you for your prompt response. I am also going to consider your response a threat since you have implied that having my personal information gives you some type of leverage. So now, your response feels criminal. So I will be contacting the authorities at this point. And if i have any issues with my personal information, they will know exactly where to look. I can see by your other responses to reviews similar to mine, that you lack any obvious standard of integrity and professionalism. The food is good. Can't complain. I did get the salmon hibachi. But its really the customer service. I mean everyone can't be lying on the reviews. It doesn't hurt to stop and do a reality check. I understand your saying that you think as customers we can't hear on the monitor. But it's really more so your tone and how your relaying the question or information to the customer. And I'll just say its awful. Hopefully the cashier/whatever else position can work on his attitude.

I think you missed the issue and it's sad because yall set up shop in our areas and treat the customers poorly. As you totally disregarded your attitude just to promote your food. Poor customer service means no return for most customers. So I don't know how long you'll get that off, but good luck. And honestly I know for a fact its not that you can't hear the customer. You just have a smart mouth in general. Maybe you should try polishing up a little. I'm sure you wouldn't want someone whose making your order or your families order treating you in such a poor matter. I'm almost scared to return because who knows what you do to those people orders who just want special request or just have extra questions. But enjoy your day sir.
