La Pet-isserie — Restaurant in Cliffside Park

We initially came to here to get new treats and food for our dog, Kia. After meeting Jennifer, we decided to take up training lessons as there were some areas Kia needed to improve on, and we were happy we did.

Kia has improved significantly in many areas: she is very much housebroken now, we haven’t had an accident at home anymore. She stays close to us and listens to us during our walks, and has very much been comfortable with crate training (see the picture).

The main issue we would have is that Kia would display some type of aggression to certain situations and to dogs with high energy. Jennifer was able to guide and correct Kia with those things through small group training and personal training sessions. Kia is now more open to interacting with dogs, sometimes even those with high energy without “lashing out” on them.

I picked up a bag of their “candied” apples at a street fair and my dog went bonkers over them. Her favorite treat ever.

The ingredient statement was impressive and so is their backstory the more I learned about them. Local, pastured, organic ingredients and absence of any pesticides or other garbagey nonsense.

Last weekend I stopped at their store and was further blown away by the complete product line up-from treats, to supplements for food (the detox blend is already helping with Logan’s tummy), fresh made food and even birthday cakes.

While I didn’t get her name, the woman was also super helpful, passionate and knowledgeable about the products. And the store is charming, clean and generally good vibey. ...

Jen, the owner, was great! We set up a 1-on-1 training session for our 2 year-old male Bichon Frise, to work on his barking and other issues. We were shocked at how quickly she was able to get him to calm down, respond and improve! We also learned that most of training is related to the owners and were impressed by the detail of Jennifer's post-session report. He also loved her shop's natural treats.
