Just reposting my yelp review here - Pretty small place and their menu is mostly tapas. We got the babaganoush, lamb liver, lamb heart, beef cheeks, and lamb tandoori. The babaganoush is very pureed so it doesn't have that much texture but it's still good nonetheless. The lamb liver, heart, and beef cheeks are spiced well. The lamb liver comes with in 3 small skewers with pita bread and sort of pickled onions. They work perfectly well together. The lamb heart is tender and perfectly cooked medium. It has the slight chewiness of gizzard but tender enough to think it is a medium rare steak. If you like cabeza tacos, the beef cheeks is what that is. It's served in a sizzling plate. Just to note beef cheek is rich because of the fat. Really goes well with beer. The star is the lamb tandoori. You have to order this a day before you dine here as it takes 5 hours to cook it. The meat is very tender with some fat included. The lamb is light without that strong gamey flavor. It is served with raw tomatoes, onions, and rice cooked in what I assume is tomato based sauce. We got the Semolina Helvah pistachio with turkish ice cream. It's served in a clay pot. The sweetness is light which I prefer. It's like ice cream over a oatmeal like texture pudding with nutiness because of the pistachios. I really recommed this place especially they're fairly new (around 6-7 months). The place is BYOB and they're open late. So it's a good place to dine and drink...
Read moreThis place was less than average dining experience. Me and my wife love Mediterranean foods and we often frequent Turkish restaurants. The moment we entered this place, we didn’t feel welcome and throughout our time there we felt like this place is meant only for Turkish people. The Waiter stuck us on a pretty bad table insisting that the entire place was reserved but offered one to a different older couple who negotiated with him in their common spoken language (assumed Turkish). The food is overpriced and frankly quite average, I’ve certainly had better food in this price range. The place doesn’t even offer tap water to give you a full European experience where you are made to buy your water! They also have a live musician who is good but it’s frankly too loud for a tiny place like that. Will not return. There are other better restaurants serving the same food at a better place within walking distance from meyhane. This is however the closest to us and we were hoping it would be good and...
Read moreI recently visited Meyhane restaurant and ordered the lamb liver, kidney, and heart meat. However, I was disappointed with the quality of the meat as it had a strong, unpleasant smell that almost seemed like it was rotten. As someone who is familiar with this type of food, I could easily tell that the meat was not fresh and had gone bad.
When I informed the waiter about the issue, they did not take my complaint seriously and did not offer an apology or any compensation. This lack of customer service was disappointing and made me feel like my concerns were not valued.
As a customer, I believe it is important for restaurants to prioritize the quality of their food and to take customer complaints seriously. Unfortunately, this restaurant fell short in both aspects during my visit. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant based on...
