Lula's Deli Corner — Restaurant in Clifton Heights

I love their food, and it’s fabulous if you can actually get it. Placed an order today through GrubHub at 11:30, estimated delivery between 12:20-12:30. No food as of 1:10 (I’m always willing to give a restaurant the benefit of the doubt during the lunch rush). Called to check with the restaurant and they are closed, called GrubHub and they said Lula’s logged off for the day without accepting or rejecting my order. Meanwhile, the app simply had a screen that continued to say “Your food is almost here, be ready!”

And to add insult to injury, my refund will take up to a week and GrubHub disabled the ability to leave a review on their platform when they refunded me.

Again, I love their food and have been ordering from them for nearly 14 years (back when they were Vera’s in Collingdale) and I will try to order again in the future, but they’ve consistently been a hot mess when it comes to actually getting the food to you in a reasonable time frame. My wife has been ordering for a few weeks now. So I had to give it a. Try.

Antipasto salad. Portion was hefty. Lettuce only made up half of the salad which you can guess what made up the rest! I loved it! Side note if you get oil and vinegar you are not getting g red wine vinegar sadly ☹️

Corn beef special. Was great for the price. Came very sloppily wrapped. Waaaaay to much dressing on it which kind of took away from everything else. They also forgot the pickle I requested !

Pizza steal. Haven’t tried it yet. But it’s normal pizza steak.

Overall I rate them a 4 star for there prices and food. I took a star off Bc they did forget my pickle. And my CBS was very sloppy and easy to much dressing on it.

I work very close to this place and they were recommended by a friend to try out who lives nearby and decided to try them out today. I am beyond happy with the food and service provided! Ended up ordering a baked potato with cheese, bacon, and sour cream and a small hot sausage egg and cheese. Well I will be eating the sandwich tomorrow morning for breakfast because I am stuffed from the ENORMOUS baked potato that I had first! Everything gets 5 stars for this place...the taste, the portions, and the sweet lady that took my order and greeted me behind the counter. Will definitely be back and have already began passing the menu around the office for others...
