Deans Hot Bagels — Restaurant in Clifton

This place shouldn't be taking delivery orders!

45 minutes after placing my order I was contacted by Dean's Bagels. I was told "order ready". Since we ordered on seamless I assumed this meant the delivery was at my door. When I opened the door it was clear no delivery person was in sight. I was continually told "order ready, order ready" and then "order ready, nobody here". When I attempted to inquire further it became clear that the person on the phone couldn't speak English and/or was wildly drunk. Shortly thereafter seamless emailed us saying our food would be there in another hour and a half.

Much later in the day when the food did arrive it was surprisingly good. So if you have a couple hours to kill and dont have enough stress/heartache in your life than Dean's Bagels is for you. If you're sane with even minimal standards than Dean's Bagels should be avoided...

This was my first time visiting this location after living in Clifton since 1999. I always go to “Hot Bagels Abroad” for my breakfast sandwiches but decided today to try another location…..and I’m glad I did. Customer service was A1 (top tier) . The woman who assisted was very welcoming and friendly. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a whole wheat bagel. My bagel was warm, eggs at a perfect temperature and cheese ratio was perfect. I enjoyed my bagel and will definitely be making another...

Moved to TX and I’m visiting NJ recently and all I needed was a good bagel. This was perfect! Quality was amazing. Cute little mom and pop shop, sweet couple. Ordered a classic lox on an everything bagel toasted w scallion cream cheese and all the topping. It was so packed, flavorful, and perfectly put together. 10/10 and definitely hit the spot. Wish I could get good bagels...
