So glad to finally be able to go to a Human Bean again! We used the walk up because the drive they was busy and we had 2 vehicles. The customer service was great, the gal at the counter took her time, she was helpful & very friendly and got us the discount thru the app. As with any new business it'll take a minute for everyone to get their flow. (You could hear the milk screaming (steaming) from outside, lol) Being familiar with this franchise & product, I was disappointed that my drink did not taste like my others I have had from different Human Bean franchise locations. (out of state) Part of that is my fault though, I did not taste my drink at the window, so I could not tell them it did not taste correct. However, I did wind up drinking the whole thing, so it wasn't bad, just not what I'm familiar with from this company. (The counter gal placed the order correctly, she read it back, yet my drink was not made like what I have known to get from other Human Beans) Overall, I'll try it again in a little bit, it's a new business, new product to so I assume like with anything it'll take a minute for them to get it down pat. Seems like they've got the framework for this to be a great place though.
Update: I went back for my second try, this time through the drive cuz it was empty. They were advertising a couple of granita drinks on a sign and we decided to try one of each. After confirming our order we drove up to the service window. The cashier at the window was friendly and smiling. We got our first drink right away and could hear them chatting inside about how to make the second one. Then we could hear them chatting about needing to start over again to make the second one. I tried to not pay attention to their conversation, however, my window was down and their window was open and the cashier just had her back to us the whole time, i could've rolled up my window but i was driving with it down already. Either way, we did get the 2nd drink and the cashier was again smiling and friendly. The granitas were good, kinda just generic sweet, nothing set them apart, but we drank them because I paid for them. The only thing that sets this apart is the chocolate coffee bean they give you on top, but this isn't anything new, Human Bean has done this from the get go, it's their thing. I was truly hoping for a better 2nd experience, however after having to look at the back of the cashiers head and listen to them argue about how to make my drink, I think I'll be looking elsewhere for my frozen coffee of choice. Sorry Human...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of The Human Bean for a while, spending over $60 through their new to me app and excitedly working toward my first free coffee. However, when I finally believed I had earned enough rewards, I was incredibly disappointed by the lack of clarity and poor customer service I encountered. Unlike other coffee chains, where rewards systems are straightforward (e.g., Starbucks), The Human Bean’s reward system seems convoluted. When I attempted to redeem my reward, I was told my order didn’t qualify for their "upper echelon" of rewards—a detail that was never clearly explained when I first signed up.
I had planned to use my rewards that day and mentioned this to the staff, but their response was essentially, “sorry.” To make matters worse, because I didn’t have my debit card on me, I was simply met with blank stares, as if to say “tough luck—come back after buying more.” The lack of care in this interaction was astounding. I left without my coffee or even the complimentary water that should have been a basic gesture of courtesy.
While I understand businesses aren’t obligated to give away products, the unwillingness to offer even a simple water was laughable. I can't help but think that any other coffee shop would have not only honored the reward but also offered a better customer experience. The Human Bean’s handling of this situation was incredibly disappointing, and I certainly won’t be returning. For anyone considering Human Bean, be warned: the customer service is far from good or even normal compared to it’s...
Read moreMy experience I guess was just not what everyone else's was. Staff was mixed. The young man that helped me before I forgot my wallet was super friendly and helpful and girl that helped me when I got back, not so much. Her attitude wasn't it. Prices are SIGNIFICANTLY higher than Starbucks. $9 for a room temperature White Mocha(Snowy) with cold foam. Worst I've probably ever had. $6 for a small Salted Caramel thing which my wife DESTROYED but agrees its not worth $6. And then tax brought the price to around $18ish..... For two drinks.... Can someone make this make sense? Probably will not be returning.
TLDR; Staff is a hit or a miss, pricing is significantly higher than Starbucks, Drinks are a hit or a miss. Either they are banging or literal $9 lukewarm dogwater. Id say its not worth the experience for the...
